The Super 16 games in the The Basketball Tournament have started-
The round of 16 games in the Northeast Region are being played tonight (Thursday 7/21.
In the first game, #4 seed Team FOE leads #1 seed The Untouchables 39-38 at halftime. The game is on ESPN2 now. All the games this weekend are on ESPN or ESPN2.

#4 seed Team FOE upsets the #1 seed The Untouchables 85-71.
The other Northeast Super 16 match starting at 6:00 PM Central will be #3 seed Boeheim's Army vs. #7 seed Team Fancy. That game will also be televised on ESPN2.

In the other Northeast Super 16 game, #3 seed Boeheim's Army (Syracuse alumni) hung on in a close game to defeat #7 seed Team Fancy 65-61.
Boeheim's Army will play Team FOE in the Northeast final on Sunday.

I'm having a little trouble trying to predict Always A Brave's chances this Saturday against the Ohio State team. One key will be our ability to defend down low and rebound against their bigs.... maybe some foul concerns as well down there.

What are the other keys, and what are everyone's thoughts on our chances?

It will probably come down to who is making their outside shots. Scarlet & Gray went 5-20 and 9-22 (14-42 overall, 33.3%) from three in their 2 games, while Always a Brave went 11-38 and 12-27 (23-65 overall, 35.4%).
S&G's Jon Diebler is the only consistently reliable 3-point shooter they have, while AAB has Bennett, Sommerville, Lemon, Warren, Ruffin, Franklin, and Randle who can shoot the three well. Let's hope they make their shots tomorrow!

The officials seem to allow a lot of physical play inside, making it difficult for teams to get their offense close to the baskets, so the outside game may make the difference. Also, the Bradley alumni team's depth may be a slight advantage, while the Scarlet & Gray team has been one of the best rebounding teams so far, out-rebounding their 2 opponents 88-60.

AAB needs to limit Scarlet & Gray's rebounds, and make their outside shots to win.

The South regional round of 16 games are tonight (Friday, July 21).

The first game is #14 seed NC Prodigal Sons vs. #2 seed Ram Nation (VCU alumni). It is a close game with about a minute to go before halftime.

The second game of the night between #1 seed Overseas Elite, the winners of the last 2 tournaments, vs. #5 seed Tampa Bulls will start shortly after 8:00 PM Central on ESPN2.

I was able to watch the games Friday night online on ESPN3.com, even though they were also on ESPN2.

if you sort for & select just the ESPN3 broadcasts it is not listed

Always a Brave trails Scarlet & Gray 38-30 at halftime. Poor shooting and rebounding and inability to defend Jared Sullinger have been their problems so far.
