Which may lead some to wonder which technique is better. Coaches are going to be remembered in 20 years for their won/loss record. Whether that is right or wrong depends on what you personally value.

It's a shame Chuck Orsborn didn't coach just one more year because the NCAA record books require a minimum of 10 years to make their list, and he had 194 wins in 9 years with a .774 winning percentage. This is what the top 20 would look like if he coached one more year and maintained his same percentage. He is in there for 6th fastest to 100 wins.

From Wiki:
Orsborn returned to Bradley as an assistant coach from 1947 to 1956, which included two NCAA runner-up finishes. In 1956, he was elevated to head coach. From 1956 to 1965, he compiled a won-loss record of 194-56 (.774). During this time, the Braves won three NIT championships.[2] During this nine-year span, the Braves also earned six Associated Press top 20 finishes, Orsborn was named Missouri Valley Conference coach of the year in 1960 and 1962. Orsborn also has the distinction of recording his first 100 victories in 120 games, which is sixth on the all-time list for college coaches.[1]BRADLEY BASKETBALL

I kind of disagree a little here...Pitino is in a different class than the others you have listed. I mean he's got his issues for sure but he's certainly thought of differently by most of the country than the other guys....I'm sure people will remember him for his sleaziness but others will say he was a great coach and I don't know that you have that many "normal" fans or otherwise to talk about how great the other guys are/were

sorry, I stand by my opinion, that this kind of recruiting is the cancer....and maybe it gave Muller a few wins and a game in the NIT - but seems despite the hype, all the big schools are still passing on him when they hire new coaches...
Maybe they know something more than a few fans do?
The biggest problem they have over there at ISU is the culture - and that's not gonna change any time soon...no discipline, inmates running the asylum.
They don't even seem to have a conscience about this kind of thing - they only answer when the media ask and say "we're handling it internally", then swept under the rug.
they recruit these guys KNOWING about their criminal history - the literally signed Akoon-Purcell the same time he was in court getting the sentencing for his felony battery conviction in Florida but that didn't matter to Muller, cuz the guy could score. Then more felonies last year- guys who were ON the roster...yet never a public mention...

Originally posted by Da Coach View PostKeith Fisher was a teammate at San Jose State with another ISU transfer Jaycee Hillsman. So ISU Coach Muller is raiding the roster of one of the worst teams in NCAA. SJSU was 4-26 (only 3-26 against Division I) this past season.
But Fisher redshirted in 2016-17 at SJSU (due to an ACL injury he suffered in high school), and he played as a redshirt-freshman this past season (2017-18 ). And he will have to sit out another year before becoming eligible in 2019-20. So I am not sure he would be eligible for 3 years at ISU unless he could get a 6th year waiver from the NCAA.
And, doesn't that put Muller 2 or 3 scholarships over the limit? Who is leaving?

...and like I selflessly & voluntarily sent a check to the IRS this tax season...
btw-- the SIU oversigned situation is solved...
Little used junior big man, Austin Weiher (0.5 ppg/0.3 rpg) is leaving...he has his degree and is eligible as a grad transfer

Evansville gets another late 2018 commit-
6'8" or 6'9" forward Will Becker from Smoky Hill High School in Aurora, Colorado. He averaged 9.8 points and 9.9 rebounds per game as a senior in HS.
He was committed to Binghamton University at one time.-
