As usual, the people who write those team profiles are not even remotely familiar with the players on the team. They probably project starters based only on looking at the roster page. I agree Fayne, Yarbrough, and Copeland will most likely be starters. Evans is their only point guard with any experience, so he probably will start initially, but he is no Paris Lee.
But I don't see Madison Williams breaking into the starting lineup as their shooting guard. In fact, I am surprised that with all the players run off by Muller that he is still there. He played very little last season, and down the stretch there were games where he never got off the bench. He shot 30% overall, 5% from three, and only 43% on free throws. Those kind of shooting numbers won't get anyone much playing time at the shooting guard position.

I still don't see how Zach Lofton will be granted a 6th year by the NCAA.

Maybe that is why he hasn't landed anywhere yet?

#140 Jacksonville State- gonna be better than all but 3 of the MVC teams? Baloney - they have a total turnover in roster & five new juco kids from a team that was 20-15 but that won 13 of their games vs. teams with worse than a 250 RPI and two of them against non-DI's!

That one is funny to me considering the Bears absolutely pounded them last year. I believe we won by 25 points. We went on to go 7-11 in the Valley. We didn't beat anyone in the Valley by 25 points.

Granted we had Ronnie Rousseau for that game, but I don't think it made that big of difference.

I sure hope the Valley teams schedule up, because the media is convinced the Valley is dead without the Shockers.

Zach Lofton commits to New Mexico State - seems NMSU frequently gets guys in that are not academically eligible anywhere else - like Johnathon Wilkins, Harold Givens, Marlon Jones..
