Missouri State gets 7'2" grad transfer

Looks like Missouri State just locked up the 2017 MVC championship.

Not exactly. But they did get a commitment from 7'2" grad transfer from new Mexico State Tanveer Bhullar.

He is the smaller brother of 7'5" Gursimran (Sim) Bhullar, who also played at New Mexico State and who left early to enter the NBA draft in 2014. He was never drafted, but did sign and play briefly (3 games) with the Sacramento Kings in 2014-15. He has since played a season in the NBDL, and a season playing profesionally in Taiwan this past season.-

Tanveer and Sim are of Indian descent (older brother Sim was the first NBA player of Indian descent), but were born and raised in Canada by their parents who were immigrants from Punjab, India.

Tanveer stayed at New Mexico State, and graduated this spring with 1 more year of eligibility remaining. He redshirted his first season (2014-15) due to eligibility issues, and played sparingly in the last 3 seasons.

As far as I can find, Bradley has never had any players 7'2" or taller.
Here are the tallest players to ever play for Bradley- players 7'0" or taller.
The heights listed are from the past Bradley Sports Information guides or the online rosters.
Nate Wells (2011-2015)- 7'1"
David Collins (2007-2009)- 7'0"
Patrick O'Bryant 2004-2006- 7'0"
Brandyn Heemskerk (2011-2015)- listed as 7'0" in 2001-02, 2002-03, 2003-04 & 7'1" 2004-05, 2005-06
James Baptist (1993-1996)- 7'1"
Tom Prusator (1977-1979)- 7'0"

For the record, though some schools tend to exaggerate players' heights, I do not believe Bradley has ever done that, and the heights listed on past players have been accurate.

his highlight videos show three very consistent things...
he is very tall, he barely jumps and is a below-the-rim player, and he's virtually always the last player up the court in transition

Because of the coaching changeover at New Mexico State, they have a bunch of open scholarships and barely any returning production from any big man (over 6-7)
...surely he would have a decent shot at more playing time there....

Missouri State coach Paul Lusk is probably hoping to find any help he can get to add to a thin front court. That looks like it might be MSU's weak spot.
Alize Johnson (6'9") is their only returning player next season taller than 6'7". Jarrid Rhodes (6'6") and Obediah Church (6'7"), both listed as small forwards, are the only other returning forwards on their roster who played any significant minutes for them last season.

Yes, I remember him. He was a 1-year transfer from Clark University, a Division II school in Atlanta in 2006-07. He only played a few minutes all season and appeared in 8 games, and scored a career total of 2 points (one layup basket against ISU) in his SIU career.
However, the official SIU website listed him at 7'1"-
