The Tourney is on....and Bradley's only chance to play in the post-season..


Game 1- #3 seed Indiana State beat #6 seed Evansville 13-4

Game 2- Dallas Baptist vs. Bradley-
an real offensive game, very sloppy - with Dallas Baptist leading 11-7 in the top of the 7th inning. (currently a weather delay)
Bradley has 9 hits & 2 errors while DBU has 15 hits and 5 errors

Bradley gets clobbered 12-2 by Evansville and are eliminated from the MVC Baseball Tournament

I'm not gonna pile on but save for one marginally good season that got hyped into way more than it actually was...
.... when BU finished 10-11 in the MVC but got an at large bid - we've had essentially nine years in a row under Elvis, scraping the bottom of the MVC, most years very disappointing. But what did anyone expect- he was hired away from EKU with losing records and disappointing performances. I am sure he's a good guy but not getting it done.
In his 16 years now coaching in DI, he's way under .500 and has only four seasons above .500, and I think only one above .500 in conference.

The MVC had 2 teams get bids to the NCAA Division I baseball tournament- Dallas Baptist, who won the MVC Tournament, and Missouri State, who got an at-large bid. The Regional rounds were held in various locations last weekend.

Dallas Baptist won 2 games in their double-elimination Regional round, but they were eventually eliminated by the #1 seed in the Regional, TCU. They ended their season 42-21.

Missouri State (43-18 ) went 3-1 in their Regional, including knocking off #1 seeded Arkansas twice to advance to the group of 16 teams in the Super Regional this weekend. They are matched against TCU (45-16) in the Ft. Worth Super Regional in a best-of-three series. In a tough break for MSU, the games will be played at the home stadium of TCU. Game 1 is Saturday at 5:00 PM.

The winners of the 8 Super Regionals will advance to the 2017 College World Series in Omaha, June 17-28. Good luck to the MSU Bears.

Missouri State lost the first 2 games of the best of three series against TCU, and they were eliminated tonight from the NCAA Tournament.
