The MVC representatives are meeting tonight. I do not know if we will hear anything tonight, but it is possible. More likely, there will be an announcement tomorrow or the next few days.
But I keep reading pseudo experts on message boards and people who like to write columns for newspapers who act like they are the experts, and know more about what should happen than the MVC execs. Nothing could be farther from the truth. In some cases, those are the same people who pushed for schools like Bradley to make changes that were disasterous for their athletic programs, so why would anyone give credence to anything they say now?
The school presidents and ADs are extremely well informed, and the MVC has done an incredible job evaluating everything about the candidates for expansion. Each school is being advised by a core of people who will help them make the right decisions for them and for the MVC.
FWIW, I have heard that Valparaiso is in the best position to be voted in. Murray State is a close second. Beyond that, it's anyone's guess.
