  • Kavell Bigby-Williams leaving Oregon & transferring

    Bradley VIGOROUSLY recruited Kavell Bigby-Williams...

he is a long time friend and was a former British National teammate of Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye...

and he was one of our top targets last spring while we were recruiting him and trying to get him to Bradley - but he chose Oregon..

BUT now he's leaving and making himself available...

He would instantly make us a contender for 2018-19!!

KBW - come play with DLO!!

When I saw he was leaving this was my immediate thought too, lol. However, I would imagine they both would have to sit without knowing their credit situation.

Kavell Bigby-Williams is now officially released, so our staff can call him.. LINK
I hope they're on the phone now...

I suppose it is remotely possible he could become a grad transfer by summer's end, but that's unlikely given that he just started (junior) college in fall 2015.
So maybe he wants out badly enough he's fully prepared to sit out a year.

What class would he be in? If he start JC in the fall of 2915 then 17-18 would be his junior year. If he had two years of JC, wouldn't he be just starting his first year at Oregon?

What am I missing? If he did not enrolled at Oregon until this summer/fall, couldn't he be available next year if Oregon released him from his NLI?

I maybe misstated something but he spent 2 years at Gillette (juco) then this past season a Oregon...
So he has used 3 seasons of eligibility and has just one remaining - which I presume would be 2018-19 after sitting out a year..
BUT just maybe he is close enough to get his degree with some summer courses, then he could conceivably be able to play in 2017-18..

Another embarrassment for the Oregon basketball program under Dana Altman.
How and why was this kept secret while Kavell Bigby-Williams was allowed to continue playing the entire season without any disciplinary action?
Oregon's fans, administration, and media must be real proud of how they swept this under the rug for a whole year.

Kavell Bigby-Williams has long been exonerated, but the problem still drags on for Dana Altman and Oregon
After SI reported that Altman made nine calls in the 48 hours after Oregon learned of a sexual assault investigation, the Oregon coach said he adhered to university policy.
