This means nothing now but to even be considered by anybody with the amount of points lost from last season says a lot about how hard our players and coaches have worked this season.

Gotta wonder why he has Indy State in at an 11 seed. I highly doubt they can even make it to the tourney.

I don't think Indiana St is going to make the tourney either, but based upon what they've done up till now, I don't think an 11 seed is that unreasonable.

Amazing how fast WSU went from top 10 in both major polls to not even being projected to make the tourney.

With wins over Butler, WMU, and Purdue, coupled with a more competitive loss at IU than SIU did, Indiana State probably has one of the better at large resumes in the Valley.

I agree Indiana St. had a fast start last year also and fizzled out. I dont see them in the top part of the Valley standings come the end of the year, yet alone the NCAA Tourney.

Witcha State I would still give some hope to though, they have the talent and coaching to turn it around and compete in the Valley, and could very well win the tourney if this fall right. They have sold alot of tickets for the tourney and we all know what a good fan base can do for a team. Plus some great key wins to start the season and help the tems RPI.
If you cant go to school go to STATE!!

Waltman is extremely underrated as a coach. Don't forget InSU's 12 game losing streak last year was without David Moss for 10 games. After his return, they won 3 of 5, winning at SIU, vs. Bradley, and vs. UNI, the losses @ UNI and vs. Wichita.

I agree that Waltman is a very good coach. I just don't think they are NCAA worthy, let alone a higher seed than BU. I'm still not convinced by this team that they can win down the stretch. They have a few freshman that should help, but this might be another rebuilding year for the Sycs.

I would love to see 6 teams in the NCAA. I would even be elated with 5. I think the MVC will get 4 again. The "powers that be" just won't allow 6 from the MVC.

                    Agree with Da Coach

I agree with Da Coach. I think we need to finish 5th or higher and win two games in MVC Tourney to go to big dance.

I originally predicted 17 wins this year and NIT.....now am upgrading to 19 wins with NCAA Tourney completely dependent on us winning two games in MVC Tourney.....but I am hopeful for a 20-21 win season

I think if the Valley was awaded six births into the NCAA tourney, Digger Phelp's head would explode on live tv...

here's a really good question to follow that up with....what would you rather see, 6 valley teams in the dance or digger phelps head explode???

put me down for a digger explosion...

I can just picture the steam pouring out of his ears. His face turning red. The sound of a teapot whislting on the stove. He starts shaking. Then, as Dave Snell would say, KABOOM!!!
