  • It's official - Wichita is gone

doubt they will honor scheduling contracts for next season, so BU will need two more games unless we add another school right away

I enjoyed cheering for the Shockers in the Big Dance the last several years. It will be very difficult to do so next year.

I don't like teams who forget where they came from. They think the grass looks better on the other side. I wont root for you any more just like I don't root for Creighton anymore. Don't let the door hit you in the ass!

        Good Bye

I was a supporter of Wichita State except when they played us. I feel the same as the others. I won't be rooting for them in the future. I don't expect they will be doing as well in the future. College ball is somewhat cyclical.

I hate to see them leave. I think most of the bad feelings are jealousy. You can't convince me that if we were in a position to move up to better conference that we wouldn't jump at the opportunity. We just can't...pure and simple.

Let's dominate our conference and see what happens......I hate to see them go as well but it has just increased our chances of winning the tournament.....

                90%
we can only control what we can control so I don't care, let's move on and start kicking butt

I hope in a couple years we are good enough again that we get bids offered from bigger conferences..

His $3.3 million salary had a lot to do with it. WSU needs to increase their revenues if they hope to keep paying him enough to keep him there.

His salary is privately funded. But seriously, I hope Bradley nothing but the best of luck in the MVC. I think your coach can get it turned around.

Yes, I know it is currently funded privately. But everyone knows there is no guarantee that will continue indefinitely. Eventually, his salary will likely have to start coming out of the athletic budget, and when that happens, they will need a lot more money.

Let's just say as long as Koch and his family are around we feel pretty good about keeping Marshall. He has more incentive to stay in Wichita that goes beyond public knowledge.

It's safe to say that on this site, as a Bradley fan, that I was probably the biggest Wichita basketball supporter out there. So I am sorry to see them leave the Valley. At least Marshall and his wife will be the AAC's problem now. Will most definitely be a lot more empty seats at Arch Madness as the Shockers had far and away the most people there. Hope our spring teams, especially the golf teams, can give Wichita an unhappy ending to their Valley tenure.

Marshall did not do the Missouri Valley any favors did he?. Stating " we wanted better competiton for our players". Thank you Mr. Marshall. At least leave with a little more class

The Valley got him a spot in the NCAA Tourney the last 6 years in a row and a decent shot at it every other year Marshall was there...
Wonder what he'll say when he's playing in the NIT in the near future..like Creighton was in 2016 when they moved to the Big East
