for those who have been to the United Center - this is in the concourse right outside the playing arena, where literally thousands of fans/elderly/kids congregate...

I never did see any news story in the Peoria Urinal about it. And the Journal Star wonders why they are losing circulation. They need to report the news. They must have put off the story. Probably did not want to bring bad publicity to the area concerning the IHSA. That's called censorship!!!

Don't think it was the IHSA they were worried about.

Happened twice again last night at a high school game in Chicago area

Chicago Morgan Park (Nick Irvin's team) and Thornton playing at the Rich South "Big Dipper" basketball tournament (Richton Park, IL near Chicago Heights)

Players & coaches confronted each other two separate times and the confrontations required police presence to step onto the court & separate them and finally terminate the game with about a minute remaining when another altercation occurred.
An intense Big Dipper semifinal between Morgan Park and Thornton was stopped with 53 seconds left Thursday night as players got into a shoving match on the court. Morgan Park coach Nick Irvin and T…

I guess some will say that it is a GOOD THING that multiple uniformed & armed police are present at games...and I know we have them at Bradley games...
but it's a sad statement of our society.......
I have been to hundreds of high school basketball games, and I have never been to one that required police! I must be picking some boring games!

                Sad

I feel that the 2 Coaches could help if they were not yelling at each other. The team sees that and is affected by it. People forget it is a sport. It's a contest, not a battle cry. I am getting so turned off by the few thugs that play the game and the few thugs in the stands. I will hesitate to go to a pro football game again. You can see it better on TV except for a pass play developing. Been to many in Minnesota and Chicago. Some fans are NUTS and they ruin it for the masses. It's a sport, not an attack on your country or manhood!

The last game I went to at Gentile Arena to support the Braves against Loyola, I got smart comments directed my way. No place for that crap. Takes the fun out of the game and ruins the pride of being there.
