Braves' great Jim Les leads his UC-Davis Aggies in NCAA Tournament!
Jim Les may not be getting Geno Ford money at UC Davis, but with a couple big bonuses he's already made, he's doing pretty well this year. He got bonuses for winning the Big West Tournament, and again for winning an NCAA game yesterday.
Jim Les has made history again. Eleven years after leading Bradley to the Sweet 16 for the first time since the NCAA men’s basketball tournament expanded to 64 teams, the Niles native and Not…

Jim may not need to get the big salary...he has trained his son Tyler well, given him a great start in life, a tremendous education at one of the world's top universities (UC-Davis) and a great work ethic, and now just 2 years out of college, Tyler is already a very successful sales & management professional with a top medical company. Box score for the Kansas Jayhawks vs. UC Davis Aggies NCAAM game from March 17, 2017 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
When Jim took over, UC Davis was one of the least athletic teams in the country, with no winning tradition in Division I, and very little fan following. They had never had any success in D1, and never even had a winning season. So they've come a long way in a short time.
BW - IU fans have a ton less respect for Dan Dakich nowadays..
Dakich had said Indiana would hire Stece Alford...... "...Dan Dakich told me in a text message Saturday — with Alford’s third-seeded Bruins preparing to play No. 6 Cincinnati on Sunday —
that “the deal (with) Alford is done.” Dakich and Alford played together at IU. Another coincidence, maybe." http://www.crimsonquarry.com/2017/3/...s-steve-alford
I guess he's not as much of an "insider" as he thinks
He also thought Doug Gottlieb had a chance at Oklahoma State
