Jim Les may not be getting Geno Ford money at UC Davis, but with a couple big bonuses he's already made, he's doing pretty well this year. He got bonuses for winning the Big West Tournament, and again for winning an NCAA game yesterday.

Jim may not need to get the big salary...he has trained his son Tyler well, given him a great start in life, a tremendous education at one of the world's top universities (UC-Davis) and a great work ethic, and now just 2 years out of college, Tyler is already a very successful sales & management professional with a top medical company. (similar to DA & Sam Maniscalco)
So Tyler can now support the family if they go broke!!

UC Davis was completely overmatched by Kansas' size, athleticism, and skill level. Hopefully this will be a beneficial experience for the younger Davis players, and it should help Jim recruit and continue to build their program.

When Jim took over, UC Davis was one of the least athletic teams in the country, with no winning tradition in Division I, and very little fan following. They had never had any success in D1, and never even had a winning season. So they've come a long way in a short time.
