Saw in the pjs this morning that Bradley played and won in the NIT 10 years ago. Almost 9000 fans at Carver. Usually gave BU a home game in these tournaments because they knew they would draw good no matter what tournament it was. Give us a winner and they will come back out of the woodwork like Cub fans.

Here are the CBI scores from tonight (Wed. 3/15)-
One of the lowest RPI teams in the CBI, UMKC (RPI 184) beat Wisconsin-Green Bay tonight 92-82-
Former Bradley player Warren Jones, who played this season at Green Bay, finished his career tonight. He had 2 points in the loss on 1-5 shooting, and 0-4 from three. Jones had been playing heavy minutes for Green Bay through much of this season, and was one of their top scorers.
But in their final 3 games, his minutes dropped significantly. There has been no report of injury recently, and he didn't miss any games since early in the season, but he played only 2 minutes on Feb. 26 against Detroit, and only 17 minutes in their first round loss in the Horizon League Tournament to lowly UIC. Then he played just 12 minutes tonight in the loss to UMKC.
Green Bay had played UMKC earlier in the season, and beat them by 18 points, 95-77.Comment

UIC lost tonight at Coastal Carolina 89-78. Coastal Carolina advances to the CBI final series against the winner of the other semifinal game between Utah Valley and Wyoming (currently in progress)-
The 2 finalists will play a best of 3 game series on March 27, 29, and 31 (if necessary).

UIC's post-season run is over..
in a clash of two teams that both finished under .500 in the regular season,
Coastal Carolina (16-17) beat UIC (15-1
CCU will now play Wyoming for the CBI title. Wyoming also knocked off a team that finished the reglar season under .500 (Utah State was 15-16)
UIC's Tarkus Ferguson put up some pretty impressive numbers in the tourney
He averaged 14 ppg, 8 rebs, 9 assists, 3 steals in the 3 gamesComment

To demonstrate how much difficulty the CBI had filling their tournament, Coastal Carolina finished in a 3-way tie for 6th place in the Sun Belt Conference, which was the 13th ranked conference in RPI (ranking behind the MVC). By comparison, Bradley tied for 6th in the MVC, a better ranked conference.Comment

Coastal Carolina at Wyoming-
Wyoming is an 8.5 point favorite. The game is on ESPNU at 6:00 PM Central.
Wyoming has one of the biggest home court advantages in college basketball. Their campus is at an elevation of 7,220 feet, the highest altitude of any Division I college home court. Especially with teams like Coastal Carolina, which plays their home games at an altitude of 33 feet, and which is not used to playing at higher altitudes, that can have a significant effect, despite their conditioning.
