The Valley can improve their schedule strength by improving their non conference schedules. Playing the likes of UI-Springfield, Chicago State for example are a joke and hurt the league. Bradley generally has one of the better non conference schedules in the league. Most of the teams play a pathetic non conference schedule. Playing better mid majors would help with the strength of schedules. When Wichita leaves it is only going to get worse. Until the teams in the league improve their schedules and tgemselves we will continue to see what we saw today. I don't think there is a big conspiracy against the Valley.

it's not their fault - it's the fault of the weak conference they are in...
Coach Les and all their fans ought to be outraged at the rest of their conference for being so weak and scheduling so poorly...
the bad teams at the bottom of the Big West are dragging down and sabotaging the teams at the top...
UCD ought to look at leaving the Big West and jumping to the AAC or Mountain West to be treated more like the royalty that they are...

Article from CBSSports.com college basketball expert Matt Norlander:
Six seeds the NCAA Tournament committee got wrong: Wichita State got jobbed
The right 68 teams are in the field, but seeding inconsistency continues to plague the committee's mission
He lists 6 teams that the NCAA selection committee missed badly with their seeding, and Wichita State is his prime example-
Wichita State, a 30-4 nightmare of a basketball team that??™s viewed by unbiased oddsmakers as a top-10 squad in college hoops, has been mercilessly jobbed for the second year in a row. The Shockers, ranked eighth in KenPom, 11th in Sagarin are ...
... are you kidding me ...
... a 10 seed.
A top-10 team gets a double-digit seed. What world is this? A flat one, obviously.

Ooops...the BCS boys didn't do so good last night...especially the vaunted ACC who argued their entire conference deserved to be in the NCAA and get top seeds...
Wake Forest LOST to a team a whole lot of people said shouldn't even be in the NCAA
Clemson lost to a far lower seeded mid-major, Oakland
Alabama lost to Richmond in NIT
Pac-12 Utah lost to lower seed Boise State
Cal lost to Bakersfield
Syracuse lost to a few inches of snow
The other big school losing - Indiana...could be Tom Crean's last game there?
btw- Jim Les has averaged more than 19 wins per year over the last 3 years...for a team that had averaged less than 8 wins per year for the years that they were in DI up thru 2011 when Jim Les was hired there
