Iowa scheduled way, way too light on their foreign exhibition tour...
they are currently playing in Italy vs. the Vicenza All-Stars, and literally doing whatever they want with them...
halftime score 51-21..with 10 different Hawkeyes scoring

Iowa won 125-56 and 106-64 in their other two games...

One of Bradley's future opponents is playing a summer exhibition tour in the Bahamas at the Summer of Thunder...

Chicago State played 3 games...here are the results-

Game 1: Chicago State 87 - IBA Elite 78 (IBA Elite is coached by SIUE alum Denykco Bowles,who played against Bradley)
Fred Sims, Jr. had 27 points, Anthony Harris had 20 pts, Deionte Simmons had 20 pts, John Joyce 8 pts, Glen Burns 7 pts, Travon Bell 3 pts (on 1-10), Cameron Bowles 2 pts.

Chicago State shot 44% overall, 10-26 (38%) from 3-pt, and 59% from the FT line
They had a very good 18 assists on 32 made FG but they were outrebounded 48-40. They only got 36 points in the paint compared to 54 for their opponents

Game 2: Chicago State 97 - NPBA 86
Sims 19, Simmons 15 but this time Travon Bell was hot and hit 8-12 from 3-pt and scored 28
They shot well but had 18 TO.

Game 3: Chicago State 93 - CTG Knights 79
Harris 18, Sims 15, Simmons 15, Bell 14, Burns & Bowles 13.
Again- 19 assists - good shooting overall, appears they played well

These opponents are club players on the Islands - probably like what you'd find down at Riverplex or maybe on the Bloomington Flex...
They have kids who like to shoot and like to score.
They do not score a lot of their points in the paint.


Boston College begins play today in the Bahamas....
obviously ISU transfer Deontae Hawkins did not practice at all with the squad but who knows - maybe he will try to make it there for the games.
But here is a picture of the team from last night and I do not think he is with them.

Larry had a very bad week..........
FIRST - just before they left on their Bahamas trip - one of his top players GOT ARRESTED - LINK - LINK - for failing to show in court for his DUI

then the Colorado State Rams LOST in the Bahamas to Bahamas All Stars 100-98...but the arrested player still played the whole game - scoring 16 pts!!

Purdue beat their first Argentina opponent but had to hold off a strong rally & play their starters mid-season minutes

Wisconsin lost to an Australian team 90-89, despite hitting 12-20 from 3-pt range!
The Badgers led 89-85 with 46 seconds left but had a costly shot clock turnover.
Head coach Greg Gard: "We were in situations throughout the game that we haven't been in... foul trouble we had to deal with. We did a lot of learning"
That is what exhibitions are for - and I think this game benefits Wisconsin way more than some 60 point blowout against a Costa Rican club team.
