Bringing in 2 Juco forwards would be counter productive in my mind.
I usually see Juco's at a missing piece to a puzzle. I'm pretty confident we are not there yet. I would think after next season you might be looking this direction. Also there is often a reason all those Juco's sitting out there have little to no interest (see Da Coach's post in another link and look at the lack of offers).

The Braves are bringing in Elijah Childs, a 6'6" power forward. None of us know if he will contribute right away, but if you bring in 2 Juco's it is guaranteed you are taking development time away from him.

We also have a red-shirt player, Merritt, 6'5 / 210 pounder none of us have seen play and have no idea what he can contribute to the core of forwards. Again, if he is legit (and I don't know if he is) do you want to take time away from him?

Stipanovich is a 6'7" wing player (a 2 or 3). As I wrote on another link, I have not seen him play but a co-worker has. His brother is a high school coach who has coached against Stipanovich. Both think he will be a plus player for the Braves.

We are not competing for the league championship next year. I guess that's not a fact, but I'm pretty confident it's true. The coaching staff is still accumulating pieces.

I personally see Bar as a player who could be a very good valley center if he can add some weight (muscle). I think we have two guards who are going to be better than average for the Valley in Brown and Hodgson. As I watched games this year I peg Van Bree and Kennell as productive 6 &7 type players in a rotation. Add Childs and Stipanovich (Merritt?) and these are a pieces to build with.

Would I like another guy in the 6'8" range.. yes. I'm not sure you are finding one worth having in the spring.

I'm not forgetting Donte Thomas. No gripes about him once he got going... but he's done after next season and therefor not a building block.

I don't expect Bradley to compete for the Valley championship next year, but it is not unreasonable for fans to expect Bradley to have a winning record, a top 100-140 RPI, and maybe a postseason berth in some tournament to give the players added experience and growth. I think those goals are not likely if we stand pat with the current personnel plus the current recruits, especially when every other team in the conference is not afraid to restock every year with jucos to fill and strengthen their weak areas.

With Foster and Merritt leaving we are already running low on bonafide frontline players. Playing time hasn't been easy to come by for another frontline player which would make one think that another frontline player will be leaving. Childs will just be a freshman next year and is the only frontline player recruited so far. Plus, as mentioned, our best frontline player is graduating next year.

I would think one JC big man would be a recruiting priority. However, whether it is doable is another story.

The spring signing period begins in 3 weeks, April 12

Bradley has one open scholarship that will likely be filled in this five-week signing period.

Here are the few names we have heard the most often recently among the 2017 recruits available:
          James Batemon III
          David Sloan
          Vance Johnson
but we may hear more names as our staff's recruiting is ongoing
