I spent two minutes on the Wichita boards and it just makes dislike them even more. Based on their reactions, I have to wonder if we were even watching the same game. If it's them bad ISU in the championship, I'm not sure who I'll root for.

Onto tonight's game. Wichita was just better team tonight. That much is obvious. Our guys did not play a good game, but other than the first couple minutes, it wouldn't have mattered how we played. We've got some good peices going into next year. I think we can take another step forward, and I think we should be able to avoid the bottom half of the valley. Tonight was not a great way to end the season, but I'll take 5 of our last 7, especially from such a young team.

Brown mouthed off to Marshall, so he responded, which in turn Wardle got involved. Between that and his post game interview, he came off like a little punk today

I agree on the call on Brown, it should have been a flagrant. But Marshall is a jerk and everyone knows it. He could have been the bigger man and ignored Brown if in fact Brown said something first but he chose not to

Marshall is the one who looked like the classic bully. Besides didn't Marshall coin the phrase, "Play angry"? I have been one of the very few who have stuck up for Marshall on this board but not any more. Worry about your own team Gregg and let our coach deal with our players. I guess Marshall thiought he's was emulating Coach K.

Like I said - if you're surprised at that play then how you think you're ever gonna handle a Baylor or Purdue?
Nobody even came close to getting hurt...and our guys just trying to get in your heads - and it worked

BU played you even for the first 7 minutes then over the final 22 minutes of the game with your starters in most of the way
Your starters played almost the exact same number of minutes as ours

Yeah. I read that thread too. You would think they were losing and the refs were costing them the game. Not all of course but quite a few

Oh shut up. Bush league is the BS brown pulled tonight. Tell him to not to intentional try to hurt players then immediately mouth off to the opposing coach. Bradley was not represented well tonight

I didn't realize that it mattered how big a guy is when you SHOVE HIM IN MID AIR. Defend it if you want, just makes you look just as trashy as Brown. There was intent to injury. ZERO play on the ball.

Best get on outta here with them there facts, son. Folks in these parts are slightly agitated. Sorta makes one think they are kinda sore for losin by 30.

BU fans need to see it from our perspective. The level of basketball being played in the MVC is horrendous. We shell out the dough for our coach and his staff and his resources because we aren't satisfied with being just OK. We don't want a participation trophy for every team. We play the way we do because we have to. We have to play like we hate you, run up the score, press all game, because we have to show the committee just how much better we are. We have to rub your whole face in it because that is what it takes in this god-forsaken league to turn the heads of the committee members. We could care less about the MVC Championship. We want to play for a National Championship. If your school is so worried about hurting the feelings of the players, shell out the money so Wardle can recruit players who can compete at our level. Basketball at WSU isn't about not about fun or telling players they are special little snowflakes, its not about patting people on the head and telling them 'It's ok, you tried.'

Basketball at WSU is about cutting down nets and getting sized for rings. If you aren't into that, prepare for a shellacking.

Also DLO knocked your guy a little off balance which made Brown's play look a lot worse than it was. Besides Brown had an earlier foul that was more intentional than that one. We can obviously argue about this until the cows come home about what did or didn't happen. At the end of the day your Shockers are really good and we have a loooooong way to go to try and compete with you.

That's a fair response though I think he should have been pulled immediately. I think I know what play you are talking about. I thought it looked bad at first but other shocker fans thought it was a play on the ball. This one didn't. But sounds like most of you guys are in agreement anyways.

We had to play someone out of our rotation. Only allowed to suit up 14 in st Louis. We play 10 in rotation. Can't just roll 4 out there.

on the technical on Donte, all three refs missed the left elbow your guy swung in Donte's face
that shove didn't just happen in a vacuum and your guy overacted more than a little
We didn't gripe and our coach didn't get in your players' face either..

Our bench also played 105 minutes. Recruit better players if you want to compete, or allow WSU to dress 19 so he can have 5 players that can play at your level so your players feelings dont get hurt.
