MiKyle McIntosh is still out for ISU following surgery to repair a torn meniscus.
Their top scorer (14.5 ppg) and top rebounder (6.9 rpg) Deontae Hawkins, is nursing a sprained ankle that he hurt in their last game against Drake. According to their beat writer in the Bloomington Pantagraph, Hawkins will be a game-time decision-

Hawkins update: ISU senior forward Deontae Hawkins could be a game-time decision, said Muller. Hawkins, the Redbirds' leading scorer and rebounder, sprained his right ankle during Tuesday's 82-53 win at Drake.


One other feature of today's game- ISU will honor their teams from 1997-98, the last ISU team to win the MVC and MVC Tournament, and play in the NCAA (see above article).

Not to diminish from Muller's comments, but I am sure most fans realize you have to take the comments of an opposing coach with a grain of salt. I'd challenge anyone to show a single example in the history of college basketball where a coach didn't find a way to say something nice about an opposing team.

And the best he could compliment Bradley was:
"They have ball care issues and some fluctuations in their offensive efficiency. But their defense has been really consistent. They have tight huddles, they compete, they don't have bad body language. You see growth in some of their players."


"They have tight huddles"? That is about as mild and weird a compliment as I could imagine.

And "You see growth in some of their players"? Why shouldn't we expect to see growth in all of the players?

almost every opposing coach in the MVC tho has echoed the same thing about knowing how devastated our program was and how hard it has been but that we are making strides

Not much that can be said. Bradley looks as bad as a team can look on national TV, down 32-17 at halftime. Bradley did not score their first basket until 11 minutes 37 seconds into the first half, 11 turnovers, and shooting 6-25 from the field.

I do say an offer appears to be made to a Juco player. If we get two more signees than that means some more current players will be shown the door. Count me in ,I'm all for it. With any luck they will be Soph's.
