seems 2/3 of rebounding is where you position yourself and the other 1/3 is desire/effort/hustle to go get it..
I don't see that 1/3 in anyone we have - our guys need to go watch tape of Dennis Rodman and Kenneth Faried - 6-8 guys who grabbed 15 rebounds per game in college (btw- a lot of people don't recall that all those rebounds also led to some scoring and Dennis Rodman averaged 26 ppg in his college career!!)

losing does that but doubt there's any serious push in that direction -
just wanna see our guys always play as hard as they did in the 1st half vs. Wichita

Our freshman this year appear to be better than our sophomores this year... that is a good trend...so hopefully our freshman next year are better etc.... or hopefully all our freshman this year grossly improve. baby steps

Yeah I was woo'ed by GF's post game speeches for too long...at least Wardle seems serious and mad.

have one of our players ever like yelled our punched their chest during a game? maybe we need to get a technical for getting emotional once in awhile..

Maybe Wardle should have thought twice about running off all the players he did when he came here.I really don't feel sorry for him at all.Im sure most of us will be giving up our season tickets next year.I would like to encourage season ticket holders who are fed up with men's basketball to give the women a chance.Andrea has them playing hard and exciting basketball. There record has not been very good but they will only be losing one senior.More people need to support the women.

I don't know of anyone calling for Wardle to be fired. I do believe there are people that have grave concerns. They should be glad people have grave concerns. Most people have given up their tickets and don't care anymore. When you lose the people that have grave concerns you have big problems. My concerns are his and his staff's ability to recruit and develop talent. The type of players he recruited at Green Bay are not the type of players you need to win in the Valley. In fact, I think we have some players that he was recruiting to Green Bay.

The facts are this. We are four weeks away from the start of season number three under Wardle. It is time for results. Everyone keeps getting talking about the incoming freshmen. That's great, but next season at some point they will hit a wall. Almost all freshmen do. I agree with DaCoach. We need junior college help for next year. Without them it will be more of the same next year. People may say you have to able to find them and get them to come here. They're right and Wardle and his staff are getting paid a lot of money to do it. Without them, we will probably lose 20 games again next year. There are no options in my opinion.

With Suggs on the floor last night we outscored Southern by 14

When he was on the bench we were outscored by 34.....just sayin

Im not saying he's the answer, and he only had 2pts, 2 reb, 1 assist in 10 min, but he also had no turnovers, his man did not directly score, and we moved the ball 10X better on offense, especially when he and Kennell were in there together.

Im not so much pushing for him to play, but don't understand how others can get so much more time over him..they are doing NOTHING. Especially last night, we cut that halftime lead to six, much of that time was when suggs was playing....Wardle goes right back to the same guys who built the deficit to begin with to start the second half...guess what?...BAM!...that same group immediately allowed Southern back to a 15 point lead....and looked like they could care less doing it!!

Maybe playing suggs' biggest benefit would be addition by subtraction of a few of the guys who are getting all the minutes.

I agree on one thing with Suggs. For the life of me, I wondered why he has been benched all season?

It goes back to what I eluded to an an earlier post about this year's sophomore class. Not one of them has improved since last season, they've actually gone the other direction. I thought both Suggs and Luke could become elite level players in the Valley by the time they were junior/ seniors. Of course, with good coaching that is. If you can't coach em up, you better be able to recruit a lot better players than what he's bringing in here. As a matter of fact, I think we looked better at times last season than what we do right now. Put a fork in the Braves, Wardle has lost this group already! His coaching is erratic, substitutions are erratic, and that's what this team is, erratic!

Great post! Wardle is being paid 5 times what he was paid at UWGB. I am most alarmed & concerned that I have yet to see one player get better under this guy. Van Bree, DLO, Suggs, Pittman, Barker, Thomas have not improved one bit since last season, as a matter of fact majority have declined. That is more than cause for concern. This Freshman class is just ok, not that great, and you won't win a championship with them. It's time for Wardle to put his big boy pants on and quit making the same lame excuses. He needs to start winning soon, or we should cut the umbilical cord faster than we did with the last joker. Look at his winning %, he's making Geno Ford look like a rock star! I know plenty more season ticket holders that are not just concerned, but ready to drop their season tickets and Braves Club memberships. Way too much money to pay for this crap show! The first half of the WSU game had everything to do with the Shockers and nothing to do with BU. It was definitely fools gold. Just take a look at last night's WSU vs. Drake game. Drake took them to the wire and darn near upset them. Final score was by 9, but it was close the entire way.

this probably is inaccurate...the contracts are likely structured differently...
In Green Bay in 2013 he was said to be making $133K in base salary plus $70K in additional income for camps, media, etc. He also likely got contract bonuses for championships & post-season play.

In 2014, after some success, his contract was restructured & extended, and his salary went up reportedly to $230K plus some bonuses

Nobody knows what he makes at Bradley, but it sure isn't the $700K Geno stol... ahem, I mean got..
So it is likely more in the $400-500K range...

SO it's around 2 X what he made at GB

Bring in some up and coming high school coach. Give them a reasonable base and then bonuses that increase exponentially as he wins. Give extra for back to back wins (think "who wants to be a millionaire" payout). That way we only pay if the team is winning but if there are a lot of wins he can make more than he would ever expect. I bet you could find plenty of young sharp coaches to take that bet

Are we holding Chris Reynolds responsible for any of this, or maybe even the president? We held them responsible last time. I mean this IS all happening on their watch...
