there's where an obvious turnover isn't counted as a turnover..
Donte has an easy rebound off a Doyle missed shot but flubs it directly out of bounds...
so it ends up going as an offensive team rebound for Loyola and not as TO but that's exactly what it was - he had it in his hands all alone and dropped it out of bounds.
Even so, they have half their scoring off our turnovers

then the next possession goes as a missed shot but it was really a flubbed shot and a turnover

hard to watch - these are not "freshman mistakes"
    these are grade school-level mistakes

Jayden Hodgson now shooting 50% from the arc in conference play...
just clear out and let him shoot!

Final score: Loyola 70 Bradley 50- a complete and total blowout to a mediocre Loyola team. What's new?

Simply another unbelievably bad performance by Bradley. No excuses. Please Coach, do not go on the postgame show and blame the players again. This game showed a complete failure at every level, including coaching staff.

They should be embarrassed. Even against the Loyola walkons, Bradley looked like gym-class amateurs. Effort was lousy, execution was lousy, turnovers on 30% of possessions every game seem to be an integral part of the coaches' system, and the defense was as poor as the offense (21% shooting in 2nd half!).

I cannot find a single redeeming factor in this team, and I do not see anything getting better with Childs and Stipanovich replacing 2 of the guy we have now.

Soft. Soft. Soft. Out-coached by Porter Moser? Porter Moser??? Train wreck with little hope for the future. Sad.

I'm tired of losing to Patsy's. Heck, I'm just tired of losing.

              Stats-

On the postgame show, after saying the team didn't execute what they practiced, Coach just said "we'll have to bring someone in to talk to the team, because I am struggling to find a solution".

I'm not sure what that means, but it doesn't give must hope.

I volunteer- bring me in - I would start with demonstrating a decent bounce pass that doesn't sail over the guy's head or hit him in the foot and bound over the end line

then just might as well let 'em run and gun Grinnell-style since the 25 seconds of dribbling sideways and doing the weave - only to have to force a desperation attempt in the final 1-2 seconds of the shot clock - it ain't working

First time I watched an entire game for a while. Went to three games at Carver and the performance was so bad I lost interest in watching. Yes they are young and Wardle was dealt a bad hand from day one. But nothing I see gives me any hope. Even with lesser talent you cannot have 14 first half turnovers on the road. Not sure what recruits you can attract here now when you don't win and Carver is a mausoleum on game days with maybe 3,000 in the building. I love BU basketball from my childhood and I wish I had the answer but I don't.

Sounds like he's frustrated, has lost the team and may be in over his head. Other than Wichita and ISU-red the league is maybe mediocre at best and we still lose by double digits. Looks like another 20 loss season.

                        Final Score:Loyola 70 Bradley 50

The program clearly is out of control. Something is dreadfully wrong and Chris R. needs to do something quickly before Bradley loses its basketball program.

                          I don't know I'd go that far...
we just don't seem to learn from mistakes...
don't they do film sessions and focus on the turnovers, missed defensive assignments, and bad judgments?

need to learn and stop making the same mistakes...
STOP forcing the risky pass, anticipate the defense and stop making the lazy pass, and value possession of the ball..

                          A couple positives...
Jayden Hodgson - 26 minutes with ZERO turnovers, and hit every shot
Donte Thomas - 30 minutes, just 1 turnover, 11 pts/11 rebs, stayed out of foul trouble
Pittman - decent defense on Doyle

The mistakes being made will continue to be made until there is an infusion of talent. These aren't from lack of coaching they are from lack of talent and poor team chemistry.

If you have to teach a decent bounce pass at this level, you need a new coach because he brought in talent that most 3rd grade basketball players can do.

If Loyola is a patsy what does that say about us? Loyola is not much of an addition to the Valley though. Located in the heart of Chicago they only drew barely 2,000 spectators last night, of which several were BU fans. In the third largest city in America they don't even have their games broadcasted on the radio.
