I guess then so did Geno and Chin?

...hmmm...no....their paychecks were quite a bit above what they were "earning"

However, with competition of that type for his signature I doubt that we have to worry about too many point guards next year.
If he is legitimately 6'1" wardle could be thinking of starting him and brown. Having two guards who can shoot, score off drives and read the floor as passers would be a positive. It's not like our current shooting guards have a stranglehold on the position. If coach is dedicated to playing uptempo/fast, having 2 pg's on the floor all the time is a quick way to achieving that. He already does that a fair amount with brown/hogden. With no third pg on the team, he runs the risk of foul trouble/injury side-lining one or both of them and putting us in a bind.

Plus if he and Childs are both borderline McDonald's all-Americans you can't turn away a talent infusion like that if you can pull it. As people love saying on this board, we're not Kentucky, we're not getting anything better.

If I had played at a bigger high school I would have been in all kinds of YouTube highlight videos: getting stitched into clownsuits by all the actual ballers.

I'm not sure Brown is best suited to play PG. If we find a better PG I think Brown can excel as the off guard or combo guard, ala Will Franklin.

at least give credit where credit is due, they landed Josh Cunningham who would have been good -
but now Josh may be done for the season and I hope they don't rush him back and threaten his career. This current injury happened when they rushed him back from the previous one (as documented elsewhere).

BTW - one other comment on David Sloan...
the PJS writer casts doubt on this offer and says it doesn't make any sense so it didn't really happen.
I guess nobody really knows - everything in this realm is always hearsay but the writer does not offer anything to explain why he doubts except that we don't appear to have a need for PG.
However the confirmation of the offer comes from at least 3 different sources.
One is an east coast recruiting guru who I have followed and he's been right all along - on Koch Bar, Hodgson (even before anyone else in the world knew Hodgson had moved to Florida), on Damir Hadzic, etc.
Other recruiting sites also make mention of the offer.
But what I think are the most solid confirmations that some sort of offer did occur - are the confirmations, re-tweets and mentions of the offer on The Conrad Academy twitter account, also on the Conrad Basketball twitter account, as well as on SHAUN WISEMAN's twitter account (and wouldn't you think he'd know more than most of us?) and even on David Sloan's.
If this offer never occurred, then someone ought to tell all those guys who apparently believe that it did.

Hello, this is Nathan LeClair, CEO of Verbal Commits. Sloan's coach at Conrad informed me of the offer. He did not say when the offer was extended.

EDIT: Was told by a source that Bradley does not have an offer for Sloan on the table at this time. It has been removed from the site. However, the coaching staff does "like him a lot."

I'm assuming Verbal Commits is not up to date or were those offers pulled?
The offers are mentioned on his profile. If you click "Show Other Offers", you'll see the Butler and Louisville offers that were previously offered.

                    Thanks for clarifying, Nathan.
You do a great job with the VC site!

To sum it up. The staff is following a high level recruit but has not offered him a scholarship at this time. Was there an offer made that was not supposed to be public??? With the offers the kid has, would he actually consider Bradley?

I'm guessing that something was discussed..Sloan's coach, who clearly has some prior relationship with & knows our coaching staff having coached at least three kids that we have recruited and offered...
and having coached other kids who BU assistant coach Drew Adams knows...
...surely has some grasp on the situation -
Odd that they as well as others have reference to the offer on their twitter-feed and have made no effort to refute or remove, but time will tell.............

Bradley is interested in Sloan, but have not offered yet. There was a misunderstanding. However, they are recruiting him.

Could it be that Bradley's real intent was not to let our current PG know that we are recruiting over him?

I can't believe any D1 coach would ever let that kind of thing stop him from trying to recruit better players or concern him with it going public. And if anything, it should motivate any player already here.
