Pretty brutal for sure.....but the difference in talent from BU to isu is sick....what a difference....isu should win the Valley, too much talent across the board!

yup....and while we are bad, their defense is very very good IMO.....they are quick, anticipate well, and extremely active when the ball goes up....we stood and watched most of the time
I am an admitted ISU fan and was in attendance tonight. The Ronnie Suggs topic has been heard a lot on here. After seeing him last year and now seeing the product playing over him you do have to wonder. I can think of a few others I would be running off over him.

Well we are two over the limit so evidently Suggs and Foster were odds one out based upon practices I'm guessing.....and does anyone really think we would be THAT much better if Suggs was in the rotation? I know we are grasping but I agree with others....we need alot more talent that just what's coming next year

Thankfully I am in Carlsbad, California getting inducted into the Callaway Golf Retail Sales Hall of Fame so I didn't have to watch getting our asses handed to us at home by our rivals. I don't know that you could even call it a rivalry any more as we've now lost 6 straight and 15 of our last 18 against the Redbirds. Just sad.

Isu's defense has been outstanding. Paris lee in particular has been devastating to us. We are just overmatched.
but we knew that...the whole Missouri Valley knew that ..so why in creation did our guys dribble time and time and time again right into him and then get haplessly careless and allow Lee to easily get a steal..
we have to be smarter - I don't get it - our guys are old enought to know that guys who get 3, 4, 5 and 6 steals a game are gonna pick your pocket if you dribble carelessly within arms reach of the guy

Well what was the alternative? Light it up from three....
but Mac, our guys keep making the same bad mistakes and elementary school turnovers game, after game and we show no sign of improvement in this area...it is really discouraging and frustrating to watch.
How many no-look passes, lazy cross-court lobs, and attempts to feed highly risky passes threaded thru a dozen arms & legs...do these guys have to commit night after night before someone on the coaching staff grabs them by the jersey and says CUT IT OUT!
How many times does ISU have to lob a pass to a wide open teammate standing under the hoop for a dunk before we realize we need to guard that!!
Did we not watch game tape or scouting reports and know that ISU does that all the time...?
Why were we not ready for it?
We have the same guys making the same mistakes, for a second year, because they aren't very good. Do you think the coaching staff doesn't stress cutting down turnovers? You can't make chicken salad out of chicken ----. There's not another team in the Valley most of our guys could play for. Unless we have more than two players leave and bring in some good junior college transfers, we will be in the play in round again for the next two years. It is time to stop blaming the previous coaches for what we are two years after they have been gone. Maybe we'll catch up with other teams if they stop improving.
It may be time to give up season tickets and the maintenance fee until things turn around. Just buy tickets for games I want to see and forget paying to see us play this quality of basketball. I've been watching since the 1963-64 season. If they get better, I'll get season tickets then. It's not like you can't have your pick of where you want your seats. I can still be a fan, listen to the games on radio and watch games on television or ESPN3. You can call me a front runner if you like, but I am just not sure I want to continue to spend this kind of money on a poor product. I'm a major league baseball fan also, but I don't drive to Chicago every other weekend when they are in town to watch them play. It doesn't mean I'm any less of a fan.
