I am watching the MVC-TV Network broadcast of the SIU-Evansville game on FoxSports Midwest. The announcers just did a Arch Madness "Date in Valley History" during a break in action with 4:07 left in the game.

The Arch Madness "Date in Valley History" was:
January 14, 1970 when "Southern Illinois received 18 points from Stan Powles while L.C. Brasfield added 16 points, as the Salukis posted a 66-59 victory at Evansville"

Sorry, MVC, but I beg to differ. With all the great history in the MVC, they pick a game that was not even an MVC game.
Neither SIU nor Evansville were members of the MVC in January, 1970.

Southern Illinois did not join the MVC until 5 years later in the 1974-75 season.
Evansville did not join the MVC until 25 years later in the 1994-95 season.

Is it too much to ask the MVC-TV Network to get their facts straight, or at least pick a meaningful game or event for their "Date in Valley History" that actually involved the Valley?

Final score: SIU 73 Evansville 61

        SIU knocked off Evansville 73-61
sloppy game, 47 fouls, 59 free throws, 35 turnovers
Evansville really only gets production from two players - Jaylon Brown & Ryan Taylor

              Congrats to ISU

really didn't care who won, but once the Shocker fans start talking going 18-0 then they needed this

Traded one for another. Now you get to hear the Redbird fans start talking 18-0
