I would place him on a spectrum between Peters and Bisping, maybe around where Nate Taphorn was his senior year. Peters was the more complete offensive player, stronger post and mid-range presence, but I think Bruninga has an outside game that Bisping lacked.

I'd also place his ceiling as higher than Chastain based on size and perimeter skill level. Be a great Nothern Iowa-type system player and with the right grooming could contribute at the Big Ten level, in my opinion. It's just crazy that he has no offers at this point.
I haven't seen him play but was talking just yesterday to a former ass't coach that said the same thing about him that you guys are saying. He said he is the prototypical BJ Northern Iowa player. The guy I was talking to loves the way the Jacobson never worries about what the reports are but rather will the player fit the system.

I can see similarities between Taphorn & Bruninga. I think Bruninga is physically tougher at this age. Bisping comparison is interesting but I think Taylor is more versatile on offensive end. Brett better defensively than Taylor at this age.

I do like the Alec Peters comparison. Alec was very good offensively at this age. Up to a senior in HS Alec put in tons of work to understand how to shoot off the catch, score in the post, and 1 or 2 dribble pull ups. Taylor up until spring of 2016 didn't really concentrate on basketball. He played a lot travel baseball. Taylor is more mobile, better athlete, and taller at this age than Alec. His overall Bball IQ of understanding how to and where to get his own shots is behind where Alec's was at, but its not bad by any means.

Taylor is just starting to scratch surface of how good he is and can be. If I was to take Peters, Taphorn, Bisping, Bruninga all at this age- based on attributes going into college & potential: Bruninga would be the one I would say has the highest ceiling. Doesn't mean he will have the best career, just had the most to like on a variety of things and where they could project. Work ethic and such is up to him. Look at how much those 3 guys have change in college especially Alec being mentioned as a 1st round draft pick. Nobody including myself would have imagined that.

People are missing the boat on him. Nobody wants to be the 1st to offer-but I can guarantee once that happens he will have double digits offers not much longer after that.

He is every bit of a good MVC player. He could be a nice 4 year guy at HM especially if he redshirt's his 1st year.

Mark my words too, he isn't done growing yet either. And he is a legit 6'8.5 right now.

Even if Bradley was interested in him, with the scholarship situation as it is we probably would not hear about it. However, it is interesting to read the comments on high school players with D1 potential.

I have been told that he was an invited guest at a recent Bradley game.
Maybe midstateknowitall knows if that might be true?

well, nice - congrats to TB...

we knew a year ago it was just going to be a matter of time 'til he started getting DI offers

Bradley was one of the very first DI's to show interest...

                            1st Half Highlights of last night vs Elmwood. 28pts (4/5 from 2, 3-3 from 3, 11-11FT)

I don't care who you are playing against size, mobility, skill all transfer to D1 level.

I'd offer, but him and the Kentucky kid both commit and we gotta let what 4 go?
Hopefully he doesn't wind up in Normal and dominate us for 4 . I hope they do well Go bluffs.

Don't know about you but I can think at least 4 or more I would send packing.
