MVC Regular Season Game Pick Em Contest Returns!
Thought long and hard about suspending this contest until BU can at least be competitive in the MVC.
In the end, if there is enough interest in BF.com posters to continue entering my annual contest, I'll continue to put it out on BF.com.
It's really pretty simple, before each MVC Regular Season Game (One through Eighteen) I post the game match ups. Participants then respond to my post with their game picks (outright winners) before the games start.
I keep tabs of each participants' picks and post standings after each MVC Game (One through Eighteen).
Hardest part of the whole contest is remembering to post your picks before each of the 18 game matchups by the deadlines to enter. Becomes even more difficult when there is only 2-3 days between regular season games 1-18.
I do not post picks, as that could open up a conflict of interest situation, so, I just pick games by flipping a coin (a penny) - heads I pick home team, tails I pick visiting team. I post these picks under the pseudonym "THE PENNY" .... THE PENNY has a 50-50 chance of being correct. Can you beat THE PENNY with your picks?
Da Coach has been so kind in the past to line up a door prize for the winner of the regular season contest. Hopefully he will again.
So you would be playing for bragging rights and perhaps the chance at some BU related prize in 2017.
So, will post matchups for Game 1 in the 2017 MVC Regular Season in a couple of days and see how it goes!
Hopefully, this will take our minds off of how far BU has to go to be successful on a National Stage...
