You are correct. Generally "if there is a problem", it will leak out. It will then be made much worse than it actually is, making both sides look bad, when it could have been prevented.

I've been told things by coaches in the past that they don't want public....many times for the sake of the player but it makes the coach look bad to the public because the public doesn't know all the details.....I'm certainly not saying that's the case with Suggs but just that it has happened before....

lefty- there are tens of thousands of things coaches don't tell anyone - something some fans and certainly the media do not understand and often get pretty ticked about.
        It is the coach's prerogative.

People are fortunately or unfortunately human. They are going to wonder about things they don't understand and look for an answer.

I guess I am also one of those that thinks Suggs might be contributing more.

Coach- was this answer given in reference to Suggs?
            Compete. Defend. Rebound. Win.

I believe the question from Dave Snell on the last post-game show was a general question about players who did not see any playing time (obviously a reference to Suggs and Foster).

                This is from Dave Reynolds:

One of the BU mainstays from last season, Ronnie Suggs, has seen his minutes dwindle increasingly of late until not playing at all against Texas-Arlington.

"I felt very good about the guys who played the game," Wardle said when asked about Suggs' status. "You get what you earn in this program and they're definitely earning it. For all our guys, there will come a point when their opportunity will rise again and they have to take advantage of it."

I have wondered what is going on there also. Not seeing practices it is difficult to know exactly how they are practicing but have to wonder if it is a Defensive thing as he is stressing D very strongly these days. I even noticed that LVB got pulled a couple of times for missing D assignments Friday night and even sat for long periods of time.
The practice thing is the only reason that I can see that keeps him from playing more

First off , I love Ronnie and am Pulling for him to earn some time and the rotation to grow.

                    But, he's 7 for 22 from 2 , 9 of 14 from the line and 1 of 11 from 3.

He does have 16 boards and 4 steals.

I like his length on defense. Maybe tonight he gets it goin.

For the record- Ronnie was 3rd on the team last year in scoring, 3rd in rebounding, and 2nd in assists. His numbers this year are not good, but he has had very little playing time.

Cant argue with that , he's had some good moments in junk time too.

I think we all see the potential and upside here.
Let's not forget how young he and this season still are.

This time next year we should all know a lot more .
