Don't think the guy in the red is Don Hogeboom. I think it is Bill Rohman. Use to be the head coach at Yate City HS and gave me my very first Varsity game in 1970.

Seems that I recall that Don Hogeboom was introduced during the halftime program, though I would not be able to recognize either. If anyone else can clarify, let us know.

Looking at the picture closer, it is Billy Rohman. He was from Streator. I talked to him at length at the IHSA State Tournament a couple years ago as he attends it every year. Don Hogeboom was from Annawan and was here this weekend, but is not in this picture.

As Coach Stowell would say, "Either you're sick or you're well".

FTR, it's not just my opinion. I talked with Ronnie's father at the game Saturday. Ronnie is completely healthy.

Just FYI Don Hogeboom was not in the picture. He was there and is bald as a cue ball.

Did he give any insight why Ronnie is in the doghouse that you would be willing to share? I enjoyed watching him play last year, and felt he had a lot of potential.

He did, but asked that it not go beyond our discussion. And "doghouse" is not an accurate term as it suggests that Ronnie has done something wrong.

a depleted Chicago State team hampered by injuries is playing at Northwestern tonight...
but instead of laying down and getting beaten badly - Chicago State is hanging with Northwestern...
with 5 minutes to go they trail by 2 pts, 54-52 but they actually led Northwestern just a minute earlier.

Northwestern escapes with a 68-64 win over Chicago State, the team Bradley beat by 35
Taphorn didn't play much- only about 10 minutes coming off the best game of his career,
and none in the last 9-10 minutes when the game was on the line.
