As I have been saying, we need to work for the open 3. We shoot threes much better than 2 pointers, and its useless to just trade 2 point baskets when we're down 13-15 points.

We just haven't recruited any shooters. Two point shots are easier to make than three pointers. The few people that do shoot 3's better than 2's do so because they are usually set and aren't guarded as closely. We still can't shoot 15 foot free throws when we have nobody guarding us. Good players don't consistently get off to bad starts. We make the same mistakes we made a year ago.

Any idea on why Foster and Suggs don't get to play much. I know Suggs has been sick but they actually seem to know how to score.

It's pretty sad when going to Charleston and beating Eastern Illinois in overtime is a big win for the program. We aren't good at either end of the floor.

We are just not a very good basketball team. No improvement since last summer...Sophmores are no better than last year. Clearly, something is very,very wrong!!

Kennel is our best outside shooter, but he only played 14 minutes. That's ridiculous. Its not as if we have too many offensive & defensive standouts that Nate can't get playing time. Ball State has 5 guys in double figures, and we have ZERO....We continue to allow bad teams to outplay, outshoot, outreboubd, and outcoach us.

We allow bad teams to out play us because we are bad and they are better than us. Kennel probably should get more minutes but if he hits a couple threes, they'll start overplaying him and shut him down. I'm not sure we'll be able to get him the ball. We play soft and that is a reflection of the type of player Wardle is recruiting. Wardle can make all the excuses he wants about needing to get into the weight room so we can rebound better. That's a bunch of garbage. You don't have to be strong to be aggressive. It's a mindset. We don't have it and he hasn't recruited it.

I have been drinking the koolaid for a long time from a lot of coaches.......not sure I want to take any more gulps.

Something has to change. The coach can't keep trotting the same guys out and playing the same ineffective game plan. As I've said before, I am not a coach, but when one guy gets 4 points in 2 minutes of playing time, I'd sure think about playing him more. And when we have a PG who goes 0-5 with no assists and 2 turnovers, If sure think about giving some of those minutes to the best shooter and most efficient scorer we have.
Gotta change something or the few fans left are going to bail. I've been a fan for 50 years, and you can count the number of games I've missed on one hand, but I am at the lowest point of my interest, and don't have much desire to watch more of this.

Hey look at this way...we play Chicago State on Saturday night. Historically they may be the worst team in Division I. We come out Saturday night, lay it on them, thump our chest and say how much we paid attention to detail, rebounded well, played defense and hope it carries over to the next game. In my opinion, you don't gain anything by playing a team as bad as Chicago State. We have no business playing them.
