MVC Player of the Week & Newcomer of the Week

Here are my predictions...among all the better performances this past week in the MVC, only a few stand out...
Of course it really helps if your team wins all their games during the week..

So
For Player of the Week -
I predict ISU's Paris Lee who had two great games of 18 pts/6 rebs/6 asst and 18 pts/5 rebs/11 asst to help ISU go 2-0 this past week

SIU's Mike Rodriguez would be a close 2nd with games of 21 pts/7 rebs/5 asst & 15 pts/2 rebs/10 asst


For Newcomer of the Week -
I think it goes again to Loyola's Aundrae Jackson, 19 pts/3 rebs & 24 pts/4 rebs

A very close 2nd is Bradley's Koch Bar with games of 17 pts/14 rebs & 7 pts/2 rebs

Congrats to both & I think we are not far away from having the kind of point guard play & low post play that Lee & Jackson have been putting up regularly!

The MVC Player of the Week, as expected is Northern Iowa's Jeremy Morgan - his 2nd time this year
The Newcomer of the Week is Missouri State's Alize Johnson - his 2nd time this year

..Evansville's Ryan Taylor went for 38 points - prob gonna get the Newcomer award this week..

I think the fact that Evansville won both their games last week while WSU lost their only game was a deciding factor. The MVC has always shown that they prefer to pick POWs and NOWs from teams that win.
