the ISU game is on locally on FoxSports Midwest

game has been close but ISU has had the lead several times then given it up.
they took the lead again with 2 min to go then tied it under a minute, then collapsed..
A terrible pass by Lee right into the hands of TCU, then missed FT, then missed shots, turnover by McIntosh, and ISU loses to TCU 80-71.
ISU goes only 7 deep....nobody else gave them a single point, a single rebound, or a single assist .. and Wills & Hawkins fouled out.

Illinois State loses at TCU and falls to 1-2. TCU was picked a distant last place in the Big 12 preseason poll.
It's still early, but this loss, combined with the loss at Murray State dampen ISU's at-large chances.

ISU lead most of the game, and still lead until 1:11 left in the game, but ISU went 0-5 from the floor in the final 2 minutes, in addition to a couple turnovers, and TCU pulled away. As noted, ISU is not very deep, and it seemed to hurt them late in the game.

Source of concern for @Redbird_MBB going forward is lack of depth. Only 7 players can be counted on. Might be showing at end of games now.

Illini played horribly and blew the game - losing to Winthrop 84-80

UC-Davis played cross-town rival Sacramento State and won 81-72 to go to 4-1!
They shot 50% (8-16) from the arc and have a solid big man who went for 15 pts/13 rebs/3 blks. UCD plays in Alaska Thursday.

sad to see kids like
Kavell Bigby-Williams, Freddie McSwain, and even Nate Taphorn - kids Bradley went hard after and who would have gotten substantial playing time here...
and yet they sit the bench at Oregon, IU, Northwestern...and get little more than garbage-time minutes...

edit - despite Taphorn barely playing so far in any of Northwestern's games - they put him in against Notre Dame and
he is essentially winning the game all by himself - amazing - he's 4 for 4 from the arc and has 12 pts and has given Northwestern a chance in this game.

IPFW knocked off #3 ranked Indiana last night....led most of the way!!
Illinois knocked off by Winthrop
Michigan State needed a stroke of luck to beat FGCU - even got badly outrebounded by them
Wisconsin lost to Creighton
Iowa to Seton Hall
Penn State losing to Albany

Shamet and McDuffie with 15 points each. The starters played only half the game with the huge lead, and their bench players got a lot of minutes.
