Bradley is 1-1, coming off their loss Sunday to Delaware. SEMO is 2-1. They lost their opener at Illinois 82-61, but have won their last 2 games. They beat Hannibal-Lagrange University (an NAIA school) 86-54, and they won at Western Illinois 74-71.

SEMO has one Peoria kid on their roster, Trey Kellum, a Peoria Central grad who was the PJ Star's big school Player of the year in 2012. He initially attended Florida A&M, and transferred to SEMO in 2014. Last season, he was SEMO's 3rd leading scorer, and he is currently 3rd on the team with a 10.0 ppg average. He also is the team's leading rebounder at 6.7 rpg..
SEMO returned their top 8 scorers and 11 of their top 12 scorers from last season, and they are a junior & senior dominated team.

I'm looking forward to tonight, and taking the whole family. I think this game will show us a lot in terms of how this group will respond to some adversity, and how coachable they are.

I have no idea how good SEMO is this year, so beyond whether we get a W or not, we will learn about their resiliency, bball IQ and general competitive response. If they come out scared and play flat... then maybe the timeframe is out a little further than I thought.

For me, it's not a matter of if but when with Wardle's braves.

We lost the Delaware game in the first 10 minutes - they had a double digit lead right away then stretched it to 16 and we never made much of a run.

The key tonight is take control and score early...Braves fans don't want to see the team going into the first TV timeout with only a bucket or less..
That also gives the few bad-apple boo-birds the opening to start yapping.
