the obscene, money-grabbing maintenance hike by Mike Cross a couple years ago has exhausted the lower bowl fans' desire to keep re-upping...
Seriously - the maintenance for most lower bowl seats ranges from $350-1000 per seat...
PER SEAT!!
I own four lower bowl seats that I have had since the day the Civic Center opened...This may well be my last year in those seats uf they expect me to keep paying $1000 each just to then pay the ticket price as well.

Let's not lose the faith guys and gals.
This was a rude wake-up call, but we were poor on nearly every facet of the game. I didn't watch much of the 1st half - thank God!
But the Delaware team looked in sync - good shooters and a team that can board!
I like the contributions of Brown, McGlaston, and Foster - they will really help this season.
Willing to give the team a pass as D-Lo, Von Brae, Thomas, and Pittman played very poorly - probably worse than I've seen them since the last 10 games of last season.
Let's hope Coach gets 'em ready for the next test.

If we do not get anyone in the paint to take a charge or man up on someone....this will be a super long season! Foster came in and gave a spark on both ends of the court! You cannot start 3 freshman against a D1 team (no matter how bad they are) very good chance we are worse....plain hard to watch.....just want to see a hard foul or something that makes the fans think they care.....IMO we are playing European style basketball on a D1 level, might work if you can make an open shot or at least hit FTs! Agree that Suggs should be starting......so should Foster! Getting sick of the open lay-up line for the opponents.....never seems to be a switch or help? Seems to be a pattern....Braves are not ready to play in the first 10 minutes of the start of the last two games....15 pts for a half is bad folks!

Disappointing, yes. I hope it's a wake-up call, a motivator, and that by the time conference season begins we'll be more ready to play from the opening tap.
I like Coach Wardle and trust in what he's building. That being said, I'm not sure what he's trying to do with Callum Barker as the third or even fourth choice for center and not bringing Ronnie Suggs in till we're almost hopelessly behind. I thought Suggs would be a rising star this year, and that Barker -- who gave great effort while being overmatched as a freshman -- would be more of a mainstay, especially after viewing his segment on the "Season of Work" video series.Yajusneverno!

Only about half of the "announced crowd" was in the Arena yesterday. The first half was painful to watch and the second half was slightly better. I was hopeful that this team would win 50% of the games this year, but I think it will be another year until Bradley is competitive. We shoot way too many 3 point shots and when we don't rebound the miss, the other team gets an easy offensive chance to score. Foster and Brown look good. Let's hope Wardle gets this team ready for our next game.

well, if there's some consolation....
-last year's Delaware team was FAR worse - they won only 7 games against a fluff schedule - and only 2 in their weak conference...
and yet they hammered us.
-and the year before - we lost our first two non-conference games to weak opponents..as well as losing to a DIII
-and the year before- we needed heroics (38 pts and a game winning buzzer beater from Walt Lemon) to get by Upper Iowa 85-83
-and who can forget the 2-16 Valley season in Geno's first year..
so I am not ready to bail yet - we just need to develop a bit more.. Go Braves!

I have said this many times before and I'll say it again. At least we have hope and we are ascending out of the pit. Ascending from the lowest point in Bradley BB history created by an adminstration that had lost focus on most things that worked at Bradley. Coach Ford left me no hope for improvement. No hope that anything would change. Coach Wardle will make us competitive again. I totally believe it.Last edited by pfcmsh; 11-15-2016, 11:40 AM.

Delaware has shown they are not invincible. They are 1-2 since their impressive win at Bradley last Sunday. They lost Tuesday at La Salle.
Then at the Tarkett Sports Classic at Miami U. they beat Miami (Ohio) on Friday, then today (Sat. Nov. 19) they were blown out 74-53 by Northern Kentucky, who is in their first season of active Division I status-
Box score for the Saint Mary's Gaels vs. Dayton Flyers NCAAM game from November 19, 2016 on ESPN. Includes all points, rebounds and steals stats.
They did not shoot nearly as well as they did in Peoria- just 30% overall and 18.8% from three. And after outrebounding Bradley 45-27, they were outrebounded by NKU 48-37. They are now 3-2 on the season. They play again at the tarkett Sports Classic Sunday vs. Austin Peay.
