And by the way, how good will Matt Salley be next year with more help on the boards and a year under his belt. Matt has proven to be a great pickup that should have a banner year next year.

Thompson is a perfect red shirt and after we announce our JC big impact guy he will be an evan better RS candidate.
Maniscalco will contibute next year and he will be in a great position for a Freshman, he will not have to try to do to much. He will have his spots where he will be needed and will be a factor.
Buycks is a kid that could have played in any conference and is a steal for BU. He may push for a starting roll or at least major minutes sooner than later.
Egolf will surprise people and will get minutes next year. He will be a major part of the program by his Sophomore year.
Williams would be great at BU but I am not counting on him being there. I hope it happens and that he fits well with the team.
Fears has improved his outside shot greatly and will be the best player on the court next year. He will be first team all MVC and may be player of the year.
Just my thoughts from everything I can find on these guys and following up on them as much as possible. No I have not seen them play I live in Mexico so again its just my thoughts.....
I could not have said it better.I congratulate Mex on his astute observations.
Now to address, "why would a Big come here?." Thats easy, With the PROJECTED talent level next year and then Daniel West and hopefully a vastly improved X coming the following year. Bradley will be in the spotlight on a national level. Much like Butler, Gonzaga, and Wichita earlier this year.
We have The Coach, We have the Fans, We have the School, and now, or so it seems, we will have a consistent flow of talent.
This comes from a fan who is usually, cautiously optimistic to a fault, about The Braves.
I see nothing but up-up-up!
PS: Maniscalco will NOT be your proto-typical frosh! His playing time will be limited only because, he is behind one of the best Daniel Ruffin!

OK..I convinced
But lets continue. We DONT have that big yet. So far its been alot of BU fans just talking about what we obviously need. So until I here a see a signing/commit its just a dream. Yes I know we have to wait for a scholly to possibly open.
Buycks and Maniscalco seem to be two highly talented freshman. I compare them to Eldrige at ISU. He is contributing but on a team that really needs him. How much would he be helping BU right now? I guess it good because, as someone pointed out, they can be eased in.
Egolf contributing by Soph. year..yeah thats my point. Thats 2 years away. So it continues with my theme about NEXT year.
Thompson...doesn't appear ready. Reallt no one knows but IF he rs's and then comes in as a freshman the following year we are talking 3 years for some impact. Which is fine but its NOT nest year.
I hope DW's latest "problem" is nothing to worry about.

Saturday's games--
Sam Maniscalco scored 14 points to lead St. Pat's to another win over Guerin 64-52. St. Pat's is now 14-3 and leads their conference.
story (scroll down about 1/2 way)--
News about Chicago sports from the Chicago Tribune: Bears, Cubs, White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, Sky and more.
Will Egolf's team finished back-to-back games against Ketchikan, but no report yet on the results.
And ICC beat Lincoln Land 83-61.
ICC won the game without DeAaron. His teammates stepped up as DeAaron was serving the 2nd game of a 3 game suspension.

This may be a stupid question in that it's probably been anwered before, but how did Bradley get turned onto Will Egolf, or how did he get turned onto Bradley? Most of the good players in Alaska opt to go to UAA or UAF, even though they are both in Division 2. I know Trajan Langdon played at Duke and Mario Chalmers is at Kansas, but other than those 2, I can't think of another standout player from Alaska that played for a successful Division 1 team, although there have probably been more than I would imagine.
Also, can anyone shed some light on his skills and how they compare to Mike Tisdale of Riverton? I know Tisdale is locked up for Illinois next year and he's done for his high school career after sustaining a broken finger. Still, I can't see him as being Big 10 quality until he puts on about 20-30 more pounds. I could have seen someone like him playing at a Missouri Valley or Horizon League school and being a better fit.
We've got some decent guys coming into Peoria, so Bradley hoops looks to be in good hands for the future. Then again, like any other D-1 program, it will be interesting to see how players go from being the "very best option" on their high school teams to being "an important cog" with their new teammates. That in and of itself, is a big adjustment for a player to make, let alone being away from home as a first-year college student."The NCAA is so upset about alleged recruiting violations at Kentucky that they decided to give Cleveland State the Death Penalty"--Jerry Tarkanian

Here is the weekend update on Will Egolf and the Juneau Douglas Crimson Bears--
JDHS played a pair of games Friday and Saturday against Ketchikan, one of the better teams in the state as well as their conference.
Ketchikan has a 6'9" center, Damen Bell-Holter, who is getting Div I looks.
Juneau Douglas won both games- They improved to 4-0 in conference play with a 61-51 win Saturday and a 63-46 victory Friday.
Will had 33 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals in Friday's 63-48 win, including 2 of 3 three pointers and several dunks. In Saturday's game, the defense doubled and triple teamed Will and held him to 9 points, but JDHS still won 61-51.
