Yup, I'm pretty disappointed by Tulsa this year. Granted this is a standing matchup that we have every year with them. Tulsa has 10 newcomers and lost i think 8 or 9 seniors. So they are in a full rebuild at this point. I am kind of excited to see Corey Henderson play again and see how he has progressed (transferred from WSU to Blinn College two years ago, then to Tulsa for this year)

I am also struck by how many guys they have from out east - Carolina, Florida, New Jersey, New York - probably from Haith's old recruiting connections-
Half the roster has some connection to the east coast and half are transfers - apparently trying to build the roster quickly..
and among their five starters - only two played at Tulsa last year and each of those has only one year of college experience - so they might kinda rival us in LACK of playing experience!

28 of their 58 shot attempts last game were from beyond the arc - so if they get hot....

MVC will go 2-0 Thursday as
UNI has already beaten Arizona State 82-63, and Missouri State has a 39 point lead at half over someone named Fontbonne

MVC will be 16-8 with 5 wins over non-DI

Hey, Fontbonne (D3) had a winning season as recently as 2008-09.

a 73-point win - a game they led by 40 with almost a full half to go...
and yet their walk-on players only played the final 3-4 minutes..
Kinda looks like a little stat-padding to me - especially when the other team has all their deepest subs in the game over the final minute and yet Missouri State still had starters in. MSU jacked up nine shots in those final minutes including multiple 3-pointers...even a 3-pt attempt with 20 sec left and a 71 point lead......

No division one coach is stat padding. Guys probably played mostly for conditioning reason.

I have observed that coaches who are on a hot seat sometimes do what makes them and their players look as good as possible - they are less concerned about long range things -
how many times have we seen a serious long term injury issue in a game where a player should have long been subbed out and didn't need to be there..

btw- coincidentally - Missouri State has a MONEY BACK GUARANTEE to season ticket holders, and just happen to sit at the top of all the offensive categories statistically
