    Final score: Bradley 70 - UIS 55

There must be a glitch with the stats as no individual stats or box score is available. DLO was the leading scorer with 12 points. Jojo McGlaston had 10, Luuk van Bree and Jayden Hodgson both had 8 points.
Koch Bar, DLO, and Jojo all had 5 rebounds to lead Bradley, and Pittman had 4.
Pittman had 4 assists to lead BU.

Kirk Wessler also suddenly wakes up from deep sleep and wonders why we have gone 5 years without a point guard - LOL

Nice post-game article today by Dave Reynolds, though he doesn't address why Callum only played 2 minutes.

But I got a big laugh out of Kirk Wessler's column today about how nice it is to have natural point guards running the offense again, as he makes the exaggerated claim, "If memory serves, the last time Bradley basketball had point-guard play to feel good about, I was a young man."

I am not surprised Kirk tried hard to make it seem like the lack of point guard play extends back many years, so he can try to spread the blame to include Jim Les. But that is simply not true. Jim Les had quality point guard play every year he coached, so stop with the attempts to try to spread the blame where it doesn't belong.

And Kirk manages to completely avoid pointing the blame for the lack of point play to where it really belongs- with his idol Geno Ford. Geno somehow managed to coach 4 full seasons at Bradley without ever recruiting a quality point guard. And he even hurt his teams more by constantly using his best offensive player, Walt Lemon, out of position at point guard, neutralizing some of Walt's best assets.
Coach Wardle did the best he could last season after inheriting an abysmal team with almost no left-over talent, and no point guard, so Kirk is silly to try to point blame there.

The undeniable fact is that fans here and everywhere else have noted the lack of true point guards for the entire time Geno Ford was here, but Kirk was so oblivious to that and the fact that Geno recruited sub-Division I level talent because he spent all 4 years with his lips permanently attached to Geno's butt.

So Coach Wardle deserves credit for recruiting exactly the types of players that can become winners again, and that Bradley fans can be proud of again.

yeah??¦.he stretched it for sure??¦??¦.I thought he was just trying to exaggerate how long it's been though as opposed to blaming Les??¦heck he was a "young man" when Mo was coaching??¦.both of whom always had good PG's for the most part

Kirk says he was a young man the last time BU had a point guard to feel good about. He must have been awful young if he forgot about a guard named Les. Or maybe he doesn't want to remember the good old days.

A couple years ago Kirk noted the lack of a good point guard and said that Daniel Ruffin was our last really good one (Kirk seems to have amnesia about Sam Maniscalco)

Maybe he saw this post from a couple years ago - one of dozens from the fans that noted how badly we needed a point guard under Geno

Thanks for the info to view the game on espn3. I couldnt see it live, but I viewed it this morning.

I think D Brown looks like a great point guard. Hogdson played tough too. Koch is ready to play D1. I like the athleticism of Jojo and I like all of our sophs, who will play with a ton of experience. We can play faster and get back better on defense. We will have a competitive team and we should win a lot more games just based upon the rotation. We wont be so fatigued by the 2nd half. The new student althletes look pretty darn good to me.

I loved the lob to Pittman for a Kaboom!!! I see a lot more muscle on these guys. I was on campus last month and we ran into Pittman for a second. He has really put on some muscle. I bet they all did.

Im looking forward to ascending from our low point last year. Coach Wardle is going to bring us back!

Wessler is so negative about Bradley. I could care less if I ever read another article of his. Dave Reynolds is a different story. He reports as positively as he can and he seems like a really great guy.

Don't believe he is really so negative about Bradley, as he is concerning a particular era of Bradley basketball.. The Jim Les era. Jim wasn't his choice.

                            Hi Chico,

Thanks for the insight. I stand corrected. Since being on this forum for 2 years now, most of what I have seen from Wessler is negative, but if it was because of his opinion of Jim Les I stand corrected. I wasn't close to the program during the Jim Les era, because I didnt know of bradleyfans.com. I know Jim was an outstanding player and compared to Coach Ford, he did a very good job as Coach. I hope that Wessler is positive about the rest of Bradley basketball.
