Koch Bar with the offensive rebound and he hits a jump shot!

Darrell Brown with the rebound, fast break, basket, and draws the foul! He looks like an exciting player.

Koch Bar definitely will take away some of the inside shots. We gave up a lot of them last year.

37-22 with 7:02 left in 1st half. Merritt, Foster, Kennell, and Barker haven't played yet.

Just as has been said by Coach Wardle, the offense is taking the first available shot most possessions. It results in some forced shots, but is definitely better to watch.

                Halftime:
                Bradley 41
                UW-La Crosse 30

The offense ran well with the initial group, and when Suggs and McGlaston came in, but really bogged down in the last 7-8 minutes of the half with a lot of subbing.

There was a lot of isolation play at the end of the half. I can't tell if that is indicative of how these guys will play; or if it is because our opponent today isn't very good and our guys know they can take them at any time. Our offense also stalled a bit because we missed shots we had been making, specifically wide wide open threes.
                  Gotta stop feeding the trolls.

The offense continues to look very good. 79-54 with under 4 minutes left.

                          My observations:
                          -very entertaining game to watch
-by far the BEST a BU team has played in an exhibition since well before 2011
-lots of movement, fast breaks, full court defense, good play in the post, made 67.7% on FT's and hit 36% on 3-pointers
...despite playing 15 different guys in an endless number of different combinations - just what you do in an exhibition game to see what to expect.
-defense was very good most of the time
-77 possessions in the game - wonder if that's happened in the past 5 year?
-and NO FOUL TROUBLE and even if there were - we have the depth to overcome it
-In a game where the key players logged only 16-20 minutes - we still put up 83 points & hit 50% of field goal attempts

Good job Braves - keep building...
This was not a pushover opponent - they will contend for their own conference...

Lou Griffith & Jerome Merritt played but participation in an exhibition does not eliminate the possibility that either or both could still redshirt.

Nice team win - very little one-on-one and zero evidence of the selfish one-on-5 play we had grown used to in the former era.

Just a few observations from me. 1.) Really liked our starting 5 think, we will see them together a lot. 2.) Really liked our depth think we can go 8 or 9 deep without losing much.
3.) liked our board game but could make some improvement there. 4.) like our pace up the floor on offense . 5.) not a big fan of watching defense even though defense wins games but did like the press we used a little. 6.) thought we shot the ball better from the line and the field better than last year. Realize at least two kids from this team won't be back and it's gonna be a battle to see who they'll be unless two kids have told coach they don't want to return. I was also surprised at how few minutes several players got but results are what matters.

Any ideas on how many fans attended the game at Ren Col?

                                official attendance was 4,682
but a lot of empty seats in lower bowl...

I heard some talk that some of the open seats are people who are still upset over the ticket price hike and maintenance hike from a couple years ago and people waiting it out til they see improvement - knowing good lower bowl seats are available game to game - or just moving up and out of the lower bowl to avoid that hiked up maintenance fee - LINK
