We've avoided posting much about the soccer team this season because there has not been much good news. Bradley soccer was 2-12-3 and 0-6-1 in the MVC going into tonight's non-conference match against Rutgers.

But, there was optimism for tonight because Rutgers is one of the worst teams in all of Division I. Going into tonight's game Rutgers was one of only 2 winless teams in D1 with a record of 0-13-2, and 0-6-2 in the Big Ten. They had been shut out 8 times, and only twice all season did they score more than 1 goal any of their matches.

But unfortunately tonight, Rutgers got 2 goals and an assist from their best player, Jason Wright, to beat the Braves 3-2. Bradley goals were from junior D-man Falk Dennert, his first, and redshirt freshman D-man Donald Link, his second on the season.

Bradley's record for the 2016 season falls to 2-13-3.
They have 1 regular season match left next Saturday at 1st place Loyola, then the MVC postseason tournament, which starts at Missouri State in Springfield, Mo, on November 8.
Bradley needs to win at least 1 more match to avoid finishing with the worst record in their history of MVC men's soccer.
The previous worst records were 1994 when Bradley was 3-14-2 and 1995 when they were 3-11-4
