suspended indefinitely from all team related activities due to violation of team rules
" ..suspension is related to an incident that occurred in Downtown Bloomington this weekend. "
also
"The suspension is the second for Hawkins during his Redbird career.
He was suspended by Muller for a violation of team rules after two games of an exhibition trip to Spain in August 2015."
This is a disturbing pattern - not that kids get into trouble or arrested but that it happens over, and over, and over with kids getting phony suspensions multiple times or no suspension at all and allowed right back without missing anything...and arrested even for serious issues like drugs & DUI's multiple times and yet are always cleared and back on the team before they miss any games.
I don't know all the facts with Hawkins' recent suspension but does it matter when this is happening regularly like clockwork to multiple team members?
Keep in mind, there was one ISU player last year who had TWO DUI's during the school year!! - one just BEFORE THE SEASON STARTED and one while license suspended & on supervision for the former DUI and thus his violation was upgraded to criminal felony- and yet the kid never got suspended for even a single practice or game. (now the guy's skipped town and failed to show for his court dates- and now is delinquent on his fines & bail- LOL)
And kids caught dealing drugs out of their dorm rooms (Allen) were also let back on the team! Another was recruited and played while on probation & supervision for a violent felony in another state. OMG- winning seems the only goal, here!
A couple of other ISU players were also previously suspended due to incidents that occurred in downtown Bloomington ...LINK but this stuff is rampant at ISU and it's a culture that's been going on for a decade with rapes, drugs and no discipline.
And the funniest example of a phony suspension was a few years ago under Jank- when he announced an "immediate and total suspension from all team related activites" on Brandon Sampay when he was arrested for a DUI- who then was shown the very next morning fully participating in ISU's practice when the Pantagraph posted a video report from practice.
