  • Final 2015-16 stats for former Bradley players

Here are the final 2015-16 stats for the Bradley players who left BU in the couple years before the coaching change-

3 of the players who transferred after the 2014-15 season had to sit out a year and will be eligible to play this coming season: Josh Cunningham will be a sophomore at Dayton, Warren Jones will be a senior at UWGB, and Xzavier Taylor will be a junior at IPFW.

Tramique Sutherland- finished his eligibility last season at University of Texas-Permian Basin.
UTPB had several other D1 transfers, including a couple other pretty good point guards. Tramique missed some time due to injury and played in 18 games, starting just 9 of the team's 29 games (record 15-14).
He averaged just 6.9 points per game, 2.9 rebounds per game, and 2.2 assists per game, and shot 41% overall and just 14.8% from three (4 of 27).
His playing time shrunk to negligible amounts in late January, and then he was gone from the team after January 30, 2016 for undisclosed reasons.

Shayok Shayok played 2 seasons at UMKC
2015-16 he played in 26 of 30 games games and started 22 games. he averaged 7.3 ppg (4th best on team) and 5.2 rpg (1st on team). He shot 38.3% on free throws.
2014-15 he played in only 8 games, then he season ended with an injury. He averaged 8.8 ppg and 7.0 rpg.

Jordan Swopshire played on 30 games at Colgate last year, starting 26 of them. Colgate finished 13-17, and 9-9 in the Patriot League. He shot 43.8% from three (63-144) and averaged 10.6 ppg and 4.7 rpg.

Jermaine Morgan played his senior and final season last year at Division II Kentucky Wesleyan University (27-4, 11-1). he played in 30 games, and started 8 games. He averaged 5.4 ppg and 5.7 rpg

Omari Grier finished his college career by playing one season at Rutgers (7-25, 1-17 in the Big Ten) in 2015-16. He played in 31 games and started 18. He averaged 7.6 ppg (7th on team) 1.5 rpg, and 0.7 apg. He shot 40.5% from three (34-84)

Anthony Fields finished his playing career at Liberty University (where Scottie James is now enrolled). Fields played in 32 games and started 11 at Liberty. In his one season there, he averaged 5.2 ppg, and 2.8 apg, and he shot 35.3% from three. He made an impression there with his leadership.
This article was posted several months ago-

Kendahl Amerson- as reported here in the past, Amerson transferred to Division II University of Central Oklahoma (16-14, 11-11 last season), and being ineligible for his only season at Bradley. He played in 21 games at UCO as a junior, and started 8 games. He was the team's 2nd leading scorer with 12.8 ppg, 2.0 rpg, and 1.3 apg, and he shot 36.8% from three. But last January, he was suspended from the team, and then later dismissed from school. He does not appear on their 2016-17 roster. There is no further word where he is or whether he may play his final season anywhere else.

Nate Wells- Nate finished his career as a 5th year grad transfer at Ball State last season. Nate played in 28 games off the bench, averaged 1.6 ppg and 1.4 rpg in an average of 7.8 mpg.

The 3 players who left after last season-
Scottie James will "redshirt" at Liberty University in 2016-17 and be eligible for 3 more seasons starting in the fall of 2017.
Davante Cooper was reported to have transferred to Tyler Community College in Texas, where he would be eligible to play in 2016-17.. he does not show up yet on their 2016-17 roster, which is only partially posted so far.
Joel Okafor transferred to NAIA Division II Indiana Wesleyan University, where he is eligible to play in 2016-17. Indiana Wesleyan won the 2016 NAIA Division II National Championship, as well as the 2014 National Championship.

Thanks for finding and posting. Rather unimpressive to say the least.

Thanks. Swopshire has a chance to have a decent D1 career at Colgate, but he was not a very good defensive player and needs to improve. Omari Grier would have played more at Rutgers, since they were so bad and needed scoring, but he too, had severe defensive liabilities that limited his playing time.
Pretty much all of Geno's other recruits, including earlier ones, with the exception of Josh Cunningham and Donte Thomas, were not D1 players, IMO. Not a pretty legacy.
