The Peoria Journal Star has an article today reporting that the Peoria Area Convention and Visitors Bureau is making a bid to host a regional round and possibly a round of 16 in The Basketball Tournament next summer (2017). That would be great to see!
The games are projected to be played in the Renaissance Coliseum on Bradley's campus.
The article does make one mistake in referring to The Basketball Tournament as "the 5-on-5 tournament geared toward teams composed of college alumni".
Teams do not need to be "composed of college alumni". Any group of players can enter a team if they meet the Tournament's qualifications.
A TBT decision is likely in late November or early December.
