It was stated that some colleges would let him play both Basketball and baseball. I doubt if the scholarship is that good in baseball but could
Bradley recruit him for baseball and have him play basketball too. We had good luck with that at one time.

He is a very good baseball player. That did work well for us back in the late 70's.

You would have to get the baseball coach to agree to give him a full ride, and that is not going to happen. NCAA rules limit D1 baseball teams to a maximum of just 11.7 scholarships for their entire team, and Bradley has 35 players on their roster. Scholarships are usually split up so that few players ever get a full ride and most get a fraction.

Plus, it is rare that D1 coaches, baseball or basketball, will allow their scholarship players to play other sports, which they feel detracts from their conditioning and performance in their primary sport.

Tweet from Taylor Bruninga's AAU coach-

He has no D1 offers? He's as good as Taphorn was at this stage & he in B10. Text I just got from scout watching Taylor Bruninga practice!

I'd say that's an apt comparison, very similar players. It's not difficult to see, he's a very high MVC level prospect at this point. Might be stretch at the B10 level, but wouldn't rule out. Really looks like he's grown and added strength, legit 6' 7"-8". Don't understand the hesitancy of these coaches/scouts.

I like the Nate Taphorn comparison and have always wished we could have seen Nate play here at Bradley-
I think he'd have been a star in the MVC, he'd have had nights like Jesperson had last year against us and against #22 ranked Texas on national TV in the NCAA Tourney!!
(8-11 on 3's and simply killed us & sunk Texas with a long, half-court buzzer-beater)

another mention from his coach that Taylor Bruninga has a number of coaches coming in to observe...
I suspect Bruninga is working hard on certain skills such as defense and ball handling and that those same coaches that have been tracking him are watching his progress...
He mentions Indiana State, UIC, EIU, Loyola but also ISU, SIUE, UNI, WIU, Green Bay, ODU have been watching

There must be a trampoline located under that basket! His head was well above the rim.
