Amazing story on Bradley's Tony Bennett (please PJS, pick up on this!)

I am really impressed and honored to have Tony Bennett as one of our greatest at Bradley University athletes.

Tony has organized & sponsored a full day of activities & giving back to the community - for kids in the worst areas of Chicago and a huge number turned out for a great day of fun & free basketballs, school supplies, bookbags, backpacks, free haircuts, food, etc...
PLUS something else... "positive motivation and inspiration"
And one more thing- he encouraged the men & fathers in the community to step up and get involved!

Tony Bennet is awesome. I love him as a player, and when you see someone using their God given gifts in ways that go way beyond winning on the hardcourt, it is extremely refreshing and inspiring. As fans we should appreciate these things as much as we do the sporting results. Way to go Tony, and thank you.

Hey - KUDOS also to Bradley's Chris Roberts...
for doing almost the exact same thing in FT. WORTH, TEXAS...
Chris helped organize a Back-to-Schools Bash at his church and lots of kids in the neighborhood came out for fun, games, food, bouncy-houses, backpacks and school supplies..and Chris put on a little dunk demonstration!

Great to see some positive role models trying to make a difference. I noticed something in the article about the Mr 40 event. Today is Tony Bennett's birthday so Happy Birthday Tony!
