  • Bradley & the Olympics

here's a good column - enjoyed reading it...by Kirk Wessler..
about one of Bradley's all time greats who won an Olympic Medal

This has all been covered before - but was nice reading during this year's Olympics

How many other athletes who have attended BRADLEY have won an Olympic Medal??

I know of TWO who have won an Olympic medal in BASKETBALL - any others??
Matt Savoie competed in the Olympics but a reference says he finished 7th

In 1984 baseball was a "demonstration sport" so officially the medals did not count..
but Bradley's Mike Dunne was on the SILVER MEDAL winning USA squad!

It was nice to read that. It is almost the same column Kirk wrote back in 2007 about Pat Redd. The original PJ Star column is no longer available, but here is a summary from Bradleyfans.com-

actually that former column from 2007 is accessible..
but it plots up kinda odd "Olympic leaper on of BU's sleepers" (they never explain what's meant by being one of BU's sleepers)

but if you can't get it, I can send it to you
With a few changes in text, however - they are essentially the same article- even using the same quotes from seven years ago

I tried that once in college, turning in the same paper twice. Didn't turn out too well.

I guess its not plagerism when you steal your own stuff, but it seems like he should have said it was a reboot of an old article from 2007.
From PJ Star sports expert Kirk Wessler in his Jan. 10, 2012 column following 8th loss in a row at Drake-
"Yes, the Braves are better than they were when the season started two months ago. By a light year or two, they??™re better."

And from the PJ Star 4/26/12, Dave Reynolds-
"Fields and Grier both appear to be difference makers. If Bradley continues to add the right players around them, happy days may be ahead for the Braves after a long dry spell."

it's what TV does when they either run out of ideas or out of money...
            they call them reruns
