Of the more than 50 players from full MVC member institutions to play in the
NFL since 1985, former UNI offensive lineman Brad Meester (209 games) is the
only player to appear in as many NFL games as Pollard's 192. And among the
players from full MVC member schools to play in the NFL since 1985, Pollard's
349 pass receptions remain 128 more than the second-most (UNI's Mike Furrey,
221); his 4280 receiving yards remain 1973 more than the second-most (UNI's
Dedric Ward, 2307); and his 40 TDs remain 25 more than the second-most
(Illinois State's Laurent Robinson, 15).
Impressive - congrats to Marcus Pollard

Here's a Marcus Pollard mention...
it is a column about a player that the Indianapolis Colts have signed..
He played college basketball - not football, but even more surprising is that he has NEVER played football ever in his life at any level - not even Pop Warner or JFL..

George Fant - used to play AAU with Remy Abell...
The Seahawks signed former Western Kentucky basketball player George Fant to an undrafted free agent contract, according to a report.
Remy Abell also has a tryout with NFL teams but was not signed - LINK

Here's an interesting reverse-Marcus Pollard story!!
First - a kid who never even played high school football, goes to Indiana University and walks on for their football team -
and by the time he's a senior - he's actually one of their regular players (at tight end) and earned a scholarship!!
then he transfers as a grad transfer to NIU and is on their BASKETBALL TEAM - having never played a basketball game since high school!
Sean Damaska..
