Who do you consider your top 4 players?

If you had to pick our four top players heading into the season based on what you know today, who would they be?

I'm going around asking this on every Valley team forum and then plan on putting those 40 players into our Power Rankings software at MVCTalk and letting people rank the MVC Top 40. Figured it would be something cool to do and something with input from the fan bases of the entire league.

I think it's hard for Bradley fans to name a "top four" since our top five or six players are so close in many statistical ways - scoring, playing time,etc...

But since it's possible Dwayne Lautier-Ogunleye will still be recovering from injury - then I'd currently go with
...Donte Thomas, Luuk van Bree, Ronnie Suggs, Antoine Pittman

I would also consider JoJo McGlaston. Despite being a new player, and not playing since the 2014-15 season, I think he could end up being the team's leading scorer.

Thanks for the responses thus far you two. I'm going to give all of the team boards until next week sometime to finish providing submissions and then tally all of the players mentioned and put them into our power rankings app at MVCTalk for anyone registered there to rank the Top 40 as they see fit.

good idea...but each team has some new guys that will be important players but this early - fans may not know much about them

Based on what information I have right now, I would nominate DLo, Van Bree, Suggs, and Thomas.

From what I've heard, JoJo will be in the top 4, and possibly even 1 or 2, but I can't even guess at who he'd replace. Suggs?

Current tally thus far including one Braves submission from MVCTalk. Also, don't overthink it. Simply nominate who you think the best 4 players are on your team. Of course that will change over the course of the season.

Since the individual team voting has pretty much come to a crawl (or stopped) on all of the team forums, I went ahead and did a final tally this morning and created the Top 40 list. If you want to see the Top 40 as decided by each team board, click on the link below to see the list:

For those of you that want to rank the Top 40, just log into your MVCTalk.com account, click on Power Rankings, select MVC Top 40 and then click on the red "Create Ranking" button. After you give your ranking a name, you'll see a red "Manage Ranking" button. Click that and then click on the "Create Power Ranking" link and go to town. You can just rank the Top 40 or you can add commentary, stats or other info about the players.

To see other user submitted MVC Top 40 rankings, you can click on the Authors link on the Power Rankings sub navigation bar and then select the MVC Top 40 from the "Switch Sport" selector or click the link below:

That is interesting...and I hope good news for Bradley....

out of the 40 players you have tallied...
only FIFTEEN of them averaged OVER 8ppg last year in the MVC.
ISU has three of them (Lee, MacIntosh, Hawkins) while Bradley has FOUR of them (DLO, Thomas, van Bree, Suggs)

Drake, InSU, Loyola, UNI, SIU, and Evansville each have one...
SIU has two of them, but Wichita has none
