Do those of you that complain about JJ's amount of playing time also think that Bruce Bowen should not get half the time as he does for the Spurs because he doesn't average 10 ppg?
People need to recognize there is a huge difference between playing hard, and playing well...

JJ was Bradley's 3rd leading scorer last night. Without him, Bradley loses that game. JJ is a valuable piece of this team. Sorry you aren't able to see it.
Last year, in games JJ did not start, Bradley was 8-6. With JJ in the starting lineup, Bradley was 14-5. This year, they're 12-6. That's 26-11 since he's been starting. Against a pretty good schedule (Top 10 in Strength of Schedule in NCAA Div I). Not bad.

Turnovers, what are you talking about?

The 4 guards who start most of the time:

        JC 23 TO 434 min 0.053 TO/min
        JJ 28 TO 504 min 0.056 TO/min
        WF 38 TO 605 min 0.063 TO/min
        DR 35 TO 474 min 0.074 TO/min
Lets not get all crazy by providing actual factual evidence Mike. Seriously some people ...

Well said. I have to admit, when JJ was a Soph.I wanted him to transfer. Well I'm man enough to say THANK GOD he didn't. A couple of posters on here feel you need to be a big scorer to help our team. That can not be futher from the truth. What JJ gives is heart, desire and the ability to make everyone better. Keep up the great work JJ you deserve accolades for your performance.

Because he does the things you cannot always see in a boxscore; he is a tough player as most would not be playing with a broken hand; he is a captain because of his leadership and because of him this team continues to win ; I congratulate him because some of the fair weathered fans have not made it easy for him and he is what I would call a true team player.

C'mon - it's not JJ's 7 pnts that matter, it's the fact that he is generally guarding the opponents best player and usually shuts them down. That's what everyone is trying to point out, that it's more than just scoring that he brings to the table, it's leadership & tenacity. Honestly, I would rather have JJ guarding Shaw or any other opponent than any of the guys you mentioned other than Adams.

You got it Romar, though I wouldn't want Adams in that same role as JJ. Adams can't play that kind of defense I don't think.

Are you kidding me?? Tauai was guarding shaw the whole game and he was wide open all night. Shaw had about 6 or 7 wide open threes that game. so i dont no what ur talkin about shutting down the best player.

ummmmmm, we were playing ZONE when Shaw had his looks. So the TEAM was responsible for Shaw. So I guess thats TWO of you that "don't no what ur talkin about"...yee haw.

On the FEW occasions we were in man to man Shaw got nothing. JJ had him covered like stink on a monkey.

Thanks Dogs & yes Shaw hit a couple of open 3's but those came while an undersized Adams was on the post in the zone on that side of the court & got hung up when the ball was swung to the top of the key and a SIU post player set a back pick. See, some of us were actually watching the game. As Dogs stated, when BU was in man, JJ was all over Shaw. I'm going to answer this query of Why Tauai? the same way I did the last time, because JL puts him in the line-up and I trust his judgement more than any fan out there and because his teammates decided to vote him Capt.

It's apparent Taters was not at the game if he thought JJ was covering Shaw on those 2 3's. JJ was on the opposite side of the court in the 2-3 zone. Interestingly, SIU did not make a single shot from that right side that I can recall.
Taters, I don't know what your agenda is, but we get your point, you don't like JJ. Don't let the facts get in your way.
But get used to him, he will start every game for the rest of the season. But you can look forward to next year.
