Wes Washpun played only 4 min but hit his only shot for 2 pts, 1 reb, 1 asst
Ron Baker played 31 minutes - hit 3-9 from the floor, went to the FT line a bunch and had 14 pts/3 asst. Teammate (and ex-Bradley recruit) Chasson Randle had a superb game 8-15, 24 pts, 5 rebs, 5 assists, and SIX steals!!
Randle dominated the game and helped the Knicks to a nice win over the Clips

Randle had an excellent game. It really helped Ron out by allowing him to play a game he was comfortable with. In the last 2 min of regulation Ron hit a 3, followed by a floater 2 in the lane, then a lob assist to tie the game up. In the 2 min Overtime period, Ron had back to back steals along with FTs that locked the game up. Between Ron and Chasson they had 10 steals. Solid backcourt defense.

Of course, someone will have to when Rose goes down with an injury in the first part of the year.

            today, more good guard play...
            after 3rd quarter, Baker 4-10, 12 pts & Randle 5-8, 13 pts.

            Baker rebounding well...
in his four games so far he's hauled in 5, 6, 3, and 7 rebs - avg 5.3 rpg-
I know summer league competition isn't as strong as NBA but he only averaged 4.8 rpg during the college season.

One stat that doesn't look good- they track each players' +/- and for Baker...
....-21, -23, 0, -6 in his four games does not have a good look to it..

Finishes with 22 pts, 9 boards, 5 asst, 5 steals.

As far as his +/- ... that's more an attribute to his team not being very good and him playing a lot of minutes. He had 33 minutes today.

before the first week of the NBA Summer League was up, ex-ISU and ex-SMU PG Nic Moore apparently sees the obvious....

he is reported to have left the Heat Summer League team and signed with Enel Brindisi in Italy..
In the three games he did play with the Heat he averaged 1.67 ppg, and just 0.67 assists per game. He also had just one steal but 4 turnovers..

Evansville's Egidijus Mockevicius had 8 pts, 5 rebs in just 15 min with the Nets

One other past MVC player, Ethan Wragge, is on the Lakers' squad but did not play Saturday. He averaged 4.8 ppg in Germany last season.

The Toronto Raptors must have some money left over after the free agent frenzy. And they must have liked what they have seen of Fred Van Vleet so far. They just signed him to a new, multi-year contract-

No details how long the contract is for or the amount guaranteed, but this seems to increase FVV's chances of making the team.
