nice to see Coach Wardle out & promoting the basketball program...he talked a little about the team but mostly the upcoming alumni game and fan event..

Coach Wardle and Bobby Parker were both on WMBD radio with Greg & Dan talking about the team, players, summer camps, and the Always a Brave team.

One new item that Bobby mentioned was that The Basketball Tournament officials will announce tomorrow (Friday, July 1) the pairings and times of the Midwest Region of the tournament in which the Always a Brave team plays. So tomorrow we should know who they play and the date and time. The games will start Saturday, July 16 at the Shannon Center on the campus of St. Xavier University in Chicago.

I think there will be a form of seeding - with returning Regional winners and teams with top vote totals getting seeded higher...although teams 4 thru 13 were all pretty amazingly close in the vote totals...

since we finished 7th in vote totals, I think we will start off playing one of the other teams that finished in the 8th-13th range in votes..although you never know - we might get someone higher...

FWIW, the organizers have indicated the fan voting really is not a consideration in the seeding. They are trying their best to gauge the quality of each team and seed each regional accordingly. Looking forward to seeing the bracket tomorrow!
