after essentially holding steady in attendance last year...
there was an slight drop in average DI attendance this past year..but the drop was just 10 per game
just ten -- that's the drop in average game attendance this past seasonn - so I'd say it's holding pretty steady...
AND for the FIRST TIME in six seasons - BRADLEY ROSE in NCAA DI attendance ranking from #94 last year back up to #91 this year!
Remember - Bradley used to be in the 40's in the rankings just a few years earlier...then we started dropping (as detailed elsewhere) and plummeted all the way down to #94 last year.
As more games are televised, and as more obscure, really low level teams are added to DI, there has been a slight drop in attendance, but it is a very small trend and cannot explain the enormous drop from nearly 10,000 to just 5,000 that Bradley experienced this past 5-6 years...
Anyone who tries to explain away the drop at Bradley by pointing to a nationwide trend is using smoke & mirrors
and denying the obvious that was shown elsewhere - LINK
