up til now Davante's team has played pretty soft opponents, JV squads and DII jucos, and he was averaging 5 ppg, 9 rpg..
but now they start tyhe tougher part of their schedule, and in the first conference game against Lamar-Port Arthur, Davante had a little more of a struggle & went for just 2 points and zero rebounds...
so now his averages are 4.9 ppg, 8.0 rpg on 47% FG shooting and 46% FT shooting. He will have improve a bit to expect to get quality minutes in the Pac-12.

Washington State picks up a grad transfer that will likely eat into any playing time Davante Cooper might have been competing for there

"Today, WSU announced that forward Drick Bernstine has joined the basketball program as a graduate transfer ....
a 6-foot-8/220-pound forward who averaged 8.3 points and 7.5 rebounds... able to play immediately.

.... he definitely makes the Cougs better, and I would bet that he’ll be starting next to Robert Franks in the frontcourt.
This is good, because it’s highly questionable just how much junior college transfer Davante Cooper is going to give WSU
after his subpar season against lesser competition."

One of the players that would have battled for playing time in Washington State's frontcourt with Davante Cooper
will not qualify and will head to juco. Not sure if this will affect Davante's playing time.
